FAN FICTION UPDATE: Chapter
Twenty-Three of The
Vermillion Vow has been posted. The
link to the chapter can be found on the main fan fiction page. This is the last
chapter of Book 5 of the Marcal In the Color of Love Series! As always, I hope
you enjoy the new chapter. In addition, I truly hope you have enjoyed The
Vermillion Vow. I certainly enjoyed writing it. Marcie and Al make me
smile and feel all fuzzy inside every bit as much now as they did seven
years ago. I hope I was able to share some of that joy with you.

NOTE ABOUT THE WEB SITE:
I have spent the last month or so working on
reorganizing the site, which was a far more work intensive exercise than I ever
imagined. For the last month or so the site has
not looked the same because when I tried to upload the updates the process froze
and would not display the new content and on top of that it kept some of the
existing content from displaying. For example, the frame that was on the vast
majority of pages was blocked, which is why the pages look so
different. The page count was erased and so on.
The technical advice I received was that the
site's content needed to be reorganized because everything was on the root
directory and the process of uploading
was overwhelming the system because there were so many files. I have spent
hours, days, and weeks on this and my poor eyesight is now almost nonexistent
but I have reorganized the bulk of the site. The organization of
the site is so different that I am not sure at all if it will upload. I am going
to try to upload the revised site and included this update message just in case I
am actually successful. Of course there is no guarantee it will work. But I'll keep
working on the site until I can get the problems under control. I can't say how long
that will take. I appreciate your patience while I work this out.
I have refreshed or revised a large number of
the pages but the changes are not dramatic. There are, however, some specific
updates to look for:

Episodes collection updated: The
following episodes have been added to the Episodes collection: March 2005, April
2005, May 2005, June 2005, July 2005, August 2005, and July 2007. The Final
Episode, June 2009, was also added to the Episodes collection. There are
still a large number of episodes that need to be added to complete this
collection. Those episodes will be added gradually until the collection is
complete.

New Fan Fiction added: Chapter 1 of a
New In the Color of Love Fan Fiction has been posted. Believe it or not while I
was dealing with reorganizing the site and as a result walking down Memory Lane my Muse
strolled back into the room and suggested we write a new story! I was
shocked but there you go. I can never predict her comings and goings. The new book is called The
Vermillion Vow and as usual it will take me a while to finish it. The new story picks up right where The Celadon Mist
ended. Al and Marcie decide to drive, instead of simply flying out, to meet with Rog in LA. Of course Rex and Shawna invite themselves along and
then Sarah and
Riley refused to be left out even though they are on the outs with each
other. The story opens in Arizona where our weary travelers have found a
respite with Marcie's Aunt Cacee. It turns out, however, that Marcie is not at all
happy about what she finds there. Are there storm clouds brewing? Yes indeedy.
Are there going to be ups and downs? You know it! As always, I hope you enjoy the story.

THE MAIN PAGE has been UPDATED with a
Farewell Message to MARCAL. The message
includes a link to soap magazine interviews with Kathy Brier. and links to
several slideshows celebrating our favorite couple. I hope everyone enjoys
the shows. This has been some ride. We've certainly had our ups and downs
and tucked away a truckload of memories along the way. Now the only thing
left to say is GOODBYE. Thanks for the memories, Nathaniel and Kathy. And
thanks to all of the Marcals for being such great fans.

THE BACK DECK has REOPENED with Images
from NATHANIEL'S Performance on Law & Order ! Nathaniel appeared
in the November 25, 2008 episode of NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims
Unit.
I have posted images from that episode in The Back
Deck. You should be warned that Nathaniel did not play a nice guy in the
episode but his performance was stellar as usual, intense and emotionally
gripping. And it is also probably worth pointing out that he looked
fabulous. It was absolutely wonderful to see him onscreen again. He has been
truly missed. A link to the Law & Order images is posted on the main page of

THE BACK DECK is CLOSED.
RC in his infinite wisdom burned down the diner and that
decision still hurts but it was a huge clue to where RC is going with the
show right now. He's burned down most of the things I loved about
Llanview. At this point, I literally HATE Rex & Gigi. IMO,
their gag-inducing love story has eaten OLTL. When coupled with what the
show has done to Marcie, I simply cannot watch right now. Hopefully, better
times are coming but I doubt it. In any case, as much as I loved my
fan fiction version of what could have happened between Rex, Gigi and Brody,
it was time to put it to rest, So I closed down The Back Deck. I will
probably add other off-topic content to The Back Deck at some point down the
road but for right now it is just an empty space.

THE BACK DECK is OPEN! The Diner of Love has added a
deck onto the back of the diner. It's a great place where visitors can come and
sit for a while , have lunch alfresco and look out over the park and Angel
Square. The current visitors are Brody Lovett and Gigi Morasco.. No idea how
long they will be visiting but right now there is fan fiction. Drop by when you get a chance. The link is on the Main

Two New Wedding Pages Added. The wonderful fantasy
cover (Thanks again, Tracey) and other images related to the Marcal
engagement have been moved to a new Engagement Page. You can find the
link for it on the main Marcal Wedding Page. In addition, I added a
page with two "formal" wedding portraits of Marcie and Michael. This link
can also be found on the main Marcal Wedding Page.
Enjoy! I am sorry that it has taken me so
long to update The Diner of Love. Life sometimes gets in the way of the fun
things. I have to admit though that I didn't realize it has been so long! Wow!
Hopefully, I will be able to stay on top of things a little bit more from now
on. On the good news front, OLTL has a new head writer and I am excited about
the possibility that Marcie and Michael might get a storyline. I have my fingers
crossed and my hopes at the ready. Other good news is that this is the weekend
of the OLTL fan luncheon in New York and the Nathaniel Marston fan club party.
Lots of people are in the big city celebrating the show and I hope everyone is

Created New Off-Topic Page. The Carousel
contains links and/or information about sites that are not directed related
to Marcal but are interesting or reflect something I'm passionate
about. My new Grey's Anatomy Fan Site, which is part of The Diner of
Love, is the first site linked from this page. Grey's Anatomy is
currently my favorite primetime TV show and I loved the idea of creating a
tribute to the show, so I launched 514 Barrington
Avenue. If you are watching GA, I hope you will visit the site
often. If you're not watching and want to know what all the excitement is
about, a visit to the site might help. As with The Diner, I hope you enjoy

Five Basic Scenes Added: These include: Max, Gabrielle &
Marcie all try to adjust to life without Al with varying success: Max decides to
leave town, Gabrielle decides to leave Bo, and Marcie centers her world around
her contact with Al's spirit ( October 20, October 22, October 24 & October
27, 2003); Ron worries about Marcie's sudden tendency to talk to herself
while Roxy is determined to turn Ron into a dance instructor (October 29 &
October 31, 2003); Al learns he has until Valentine's Day to get Marcie to
"see" him (only a recap of this scene is posted: November 3, November
6 & November7, 2003); now in Michael's body, Al immediately begins to pursue
Marcie but his behavior upsets her (November 10, November 11 & November 12,
2003); Ron is under suspicion as the Music Box Killer and Jen is hiding a

It's been TWO years since The Diner of
Love was launched! Happy Birthday Diner of Love! What a wild ride
it has been. We've been up, we've been down. People have come, people have
gone. The one thing that has not changed is that Marcie & Al were a
gift to the fans and The Diner will always page homage to that magical
relationship. This place always was and always will be a labor of love.
And Marcie and Michael have won our hearts and given all of us a way to continue
the MARCAL love. I want to thank everyone who has been involved in
breathing life into The Diner of Love and The Corner Booth. First of all, I want
to thank Kathy Brier & Nathaniel Marston for continuing to share their
wonderful talent with all of us through their performances on OLTL. More
important, however, I want to thank all of the Marcals, posters at TCB,
fan fiction writers, commentators, artists, and board mommies for all of the
love and support you pour into The Diner and TCB on a daily basis. THANK YOU

Three New Basic Episodes Added. The new
episodes include: Michael
falls under suspicion for Tico's death because of the piece of latex John found
(January 13, January 14 & January 17); Michael is labeled as Dr. Death and
Marcie gets good news about her book (January 18 & January 20); Jessica
remembers who pulled the plug on Tico (well, kinda) (January 27, January 28

Episodes 29 & 30 Revised & Updated.
Episodes originally labeled as Episode 29 (Page 18) and Episode 30 (Page 19)
have been revised and turned into Episodes 30-32. The main Episodes
page has been revised to reflect this change as well as to list all episodes
by episode number instead of by page number. Since the page numbers and the
episode numbers are no longer in perfect sync, listing only the episode
number should make it easier to find a particular episode. In addition
to the above changes, images have been added to Episodes 30-32. These
episodes include: the Christmas party at the Love Center (December 23 &
December 24, 2004); Marcie & Michael breakup (December 28 & December 29,
2004); and Michael tries to make Marcie see how Hayes is manipulating her
