A Family Trip to Disney World
5 - 9 December 2001

This year, Aaron had the opportunity to attend a work-related conference at Disney World.  (The International itSMF Conference)  Holli just could not stand the thought of letting Aaron stay in Orlando, all by himself, in a hotel just feet away from the Magic Kingdom.  So, we arranged for some tickets for Holli, Hailey and Abby to come along for the trip.

It turned out to be a great experience.  The Magic Kingdom was completely empty most days, with very short or no lines for the attractions.  The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time.  Best of all, Microsoft paid for most of the trip, as the Hotel expenses were already budgeted to be included in the price of Aaron's attendance. 

We stayed in the Disney Contemporary Resort.  The Monorail went right through the middle of the hotel and was a very convenient means to get to the parks.  The service was great and it even had Chef Mickey in the lobby, where Hailey could eat a breakfast prepared by Mickey and other characters.
