Art helps increase self-worth and gives
one a sense of connecting
Marg was born in Montreal and raised in a small mining town in Northern
Ontario. Her first appreciation of the arts developed through music.
She studied with the Toronto Conservatory of Music.
Art began for Marg as a tool of healing. It gave her a sense of
connection. Art was more than just a hobby - it, in fact, was a tension
reliever, a great centering device, a wonderful healing modality.
She paints in acrylics, and sometimes water colour. She has studied
through courses with professional artists in both mediums. |
| Her preferred style is abstract; this style has enabled
her to develop an interest in texture, colour, depth, and often reveals
her reflection of life.
Working with mixed media and collages has become a challenge for her,
adding something different to a painting, rather than what is expected,
thus bringing about a feeling of excitement.
