    When I first re-entered the Army in 1970 he was the 1st Sgt in the training company I was assigned to and it didn't take me long to realize that this man was a professional and the best way to get along with him was to do your job to the best of your ability. He took care of us and we took care of him. When my basic was completed, I was re-assigned to his unit and he sent me to Drill Sergeant Academy. That was 36 years ago and we are still friends today and still live with-in 60 miles of each other. Don't tell him I said so but he is still married to a wonderful lady that truly deserves a medal of honor for putting up with him all these years......
