Herrerasauria were previously put as an own group outside Theropoda. They ranged from 2-4 metres of lenght, and
lived in South-America to southern North-America during the late Triasic.

The only one really known in this group is
Herrerasaurus
that is known from 3 parial skeletons. This creature lived in South-America, and ranged from 3-4 metres
in lenght, making it the biggest member of this group.
Staurikosaurus in only known from a partial skeleton found in Brazil. It measured 2 metres of length, and
was the agile "raptor" of South-America.
Chindesaurus is known from a partial skeleton, and Caseosaurus is only known from an ilium.
