Titanosaurs were the biggest most massive of all Sauropods. They lived mostly in the southern hemisphere
(South-America, Africa and India) but thet are allso known from Europe and North-America.
They were from 20 to 40 metres of lenght, and could easily have been the heaviest land creatures
ever known to man.
Saltasaurus and Laplatasaurus are known to have had scutes on their body, so there is
actually nothing in the way for seeing the entire Titanosauria with scuted sauropods.
For long time Titanosaurid skulls were something enigmatic. There was a poor restoration based
on a fragmental Antarctosaurus skull. The incomplete skulls of Nemegtosaurus (=?Opisthocoelicaudia)
and Quaesitosaurus made another image of how the skulls might look.
Some time later another skull popped up from Argentina, called Paralatitan stromeri (classification uncertain)
showed the same principles as the skulls of Nemegtosaurus and Quaesitosaurus, and it was
the first complete Titanosaurid skull.
Now recently a second complete skull, accompanied with a fairly good skeleton, came up, and recieved the name
Rapetosaurus krausei, wich allso had the same features as the species above, concluding
the lost-skull-enigma.
