Carcass - Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious, 1991 1.-Inpropagation Fortunately, seeing where modern metal is heading at most of the times, we still can turn back to classics
such as Carcass. This album is almost universally acknowledged as the groundbreaker for the band. Impeccable riffs and precise
solos are trademark in every song, with technical forensic babbling in the lyrics. The song structure isn't based in three-minutes
pieces, but built in at least five-minutes compositions, providing terrificly inspired tracks. "Inpropagation" opens the album
powerfully, and that force, if anything, increases as the album continues. "Corporal Jigsore Quandary" is another monster
track. "Symposium Of Sickness" and "Pedigree Butchery" are good, well-balanced songs, with unbelievable solos. "Incarnated
Solvent Abuse" is a killer. "Carneous Cacoffiny" has some good riffs, but certainly not as good as most of the album. This
one was my least favorite, but still well done. "Lavaging..." is a shorter track, but ranking high in brutality. Finally,
"Forensic..." closes masterly the album, with very heavy riffs. Death Metal maybe at its finest hour, featuring an awesome composition and a better production than the previous
releases. The bass could have had more power and the drumming could have been more innovating but it still is an unmissable
classic. 89 OUT OF 100
