Background/History:
The true origin of the man known as Secret Agent XX-7 may never be
known, however, much can be pieced together from his now declassified war
dossier. He began working for the US government as a low level official in 1935.
Showing a quick wit and excellent physical conditioning, he was culled from his
civil service job for intensive training in the US intelligence corps, which
would be dubbed the OSS during the war. The aptitude he showed was amazing
and he quickly became America’s most valuable agent. Because of this,
all history of his previous existence was expunged from record. For all
intents and purposes, he became a ghost, a man without an identity.
After the US became involved in WWII he went into deep cover, first infiltrating the Nazi bund on the home front, then, with the formation of the
Lord’s of Liberty, going deep into the Nazi regime in Berlin. Though not
as valuable a combatant as All American or Major Victory, the information he
gathered and the timely help he provided often turned the tide of battle.
Declassified document recently revealed that it was XX-7 that was responsible
for the retrieval of the “Enigma” coding machine.
After Germany’s surrender, there was still a war on. Japan had to
be defeated. At that time he was transferred to a deep cover assignment in
Tokyo. Though it is believed he survived, he was never heard from again after VJ
day. Some unofficial documents suggest he married a Japanese woman after
the war and raised his family there, though these reports cannot be
substantiated.
Personality/Motivation:
Though not much is truly known, it has been stated that XX-7 was a loyal
American with a strong sense of fair play, though he was not afraid to
break the rules when it came to protecting his country. Though he always found
killing regrettable, he knew it was an essential part of his job and was willing
to when the situation called for it.
