Background/History:
Schmit was always an egomaniacal, selfish individual, but with his beloved Anna,
he could act like a gentleman. He truly loved her although it did not change the
darkness in his soul. While visiting her Jewish relatives in the Warsaw Ghetto,
Anna was struck by a horse-drawn milk cart and died. Any chance of redemption
for Schmit died with her. Visiting in New York in 1933, the reports of strange
lights in the sky over New Jersey caught Schmit’s attention and he went to
investigate. He found nothing useful, but was subjected to the Genata spread by
Pomage. It created the potential for super powers in people and he developed the
ability to build robotics. He returned to Germany, determined to use these new
ideas that were coming to him to further the Reich. Realizing his talents,
Schmit was assigned to the Super SS to develop weapons and robot warriors. He
produced many items for them, but could not come up with anything that could
completely stop the Allied forces and their super-hero groups. Realizing that
Hitler had made horrible tactical errors and that the Reich was doomed, he
abandoned Germany well before the end of WW 2 and headed to Chile where he would
reappear in the Silver Age.
Personality/Motivations:
Without his wife, his only motivation was to push his abilities to their fullest
extent to assuage his own ego and for his own twisted amusement.
