Background/History:
Built by Mixatillion on his way to Earth, MEX was designed to be companion and
bodyguard to the alien inventor. The humanoid robot was not designed to think,
as such, but simulates human responses quite well and was programmed to defend
his charges at all costs. Mixatillion modified that programming by making him
function more like a super-hero than a bodyguard, a move that may have
contributed to his being killed in battle with Injustice since MEX’s job was
to defeat the villain, not protect his creator. He was a founding member of
Destructor Force and has continued with the team after Mixatillion’s death.
After the team saved Walter Penwright, they became employed as his bodyguards
and moved to Michigan where they are headquartered in Freak Town. MEX having no
need for sleep or distractions handles monitor duty when the team is not
actually on a mission.
Personality/Motivations:
With no personality as such, MEX simply fulfills his programming by continuing
Mixatillion’s battle for peace and justice. Lacking a conscience, he
occasionally can be almost too effective like when he killed Tumbler I during a
battle with Mutant Force.
