Keeper of Infinite Earths - Justice Avengers
Javelin
Alter Ego: Bonnie Tucker
Occupation: Store Clerk, Super-hero
Known Relatives: None
Group Affiliation: New Justice Avengers
Base of Operations: Chicago
Background/History:
In a separate dimension on an alternate Earth, the evil Demon Lord used the
Tablets of Anubis to weaken the world’s super-heroes and began systematically
killing them in his plot to rule the planet. The only obstacle to his plan was
Dr. Quark, who used science to battle the evil magic. Lance was the sole
surviving hero, so Dr. Quark sent him through the dimensional barriers to try to
recruit help to save his world since the Tablets only affected people born in
that dimension. He gave Lance the smaller prototype of the suit that Lance
derived his abilities from in case he found a suitable ally. On our Earth, Lance
was trying to find heroes and he found a battle raging in an industrial park. An
accident involving radiation and genetic manipulation had turned a group of
young adults into super powered beings. The event had been orchestrated by a
villainous think tank to create super-villain. Unfortunately for the bad guys,
not all of the unwilling test subjects were evil. Electron, Ferret, and Bonnie
were fighting the evil ones when Lance joined in. Seeing that Bonnie had not
received powers, Lance gave her the suit, nicknamed Javelin because it was a
smaller version of Lance’s. Together, they thwarted the evil plan and were
able to reverse most of the effects of the "accident". Electron and
Ferret chose to keep their powers and joined with Javelin to go to Lance’s
world. They fought a losing battle until Lance found another team of heroes, the
Battlers, who were willing to go and fight with them. Together, they stopped the
demon invasion and beat Demon Lord freeing the planet. Javelin decided to return
home and take a break from being a super-hero. Before long, however, she suited
up once again and joined the New Justice Avengers.
Personality/Motivation:
One day, Bonnie was a typical non-declared college student trying to figure out
what she wanted to do with her life. The next day, she was wearing a suit that
gave her super-powers, fighting to liberate a world similar to, but not her own.
She was given a path for her life and she accepted it gracefully. She sees her
heroic identity as a career choice well worth making.
