Keeper of Infinite Earths - Circle of Justice
Created by Matt Parmenter
Scribble
Alter Ego: Jack Kimberly
Occupation: Adventurer / Member of Circle of Justice
Known Relatives: Jack, Sr. "Frantic Blue" and Monica Kimberly
(parents) Kim Franklin Kimberly "Fin" (wife), Samantha Kimberly
"Barracuda" (daughter)
Group Affiliation: Circle of Justice
Base of Operations: New York, NY, later Atlanta, GA
Background/History:
That he was the son of the superhero Frantic Blue was obvious, Jack was born
blue skinned and bald. Due to his father’s well respected position, Jack grew
up relatively normal. He was a typical boy, except for being blue, tall, and
very fast. Too fast for his own good, as he soon was not allowed to play sports
with the other children because he had an unfair advantage. He was definitely
superhuman. He worked with his father patrolling St. Louis and learned to use
his powers. St. Louis was not exactly a hot bed of super villain activity and
his father had things well in hand, so Scribble decided to move north to New
York City. There was plenty to keep him busy there, but his life changed when
Injustice was embroiled in a battle with Fin. He jumped in to help her and the
rest was history. They were both second generation heroes, both were not quite
normal, and they fell in love. They were still in their teens when they met, but
they stayed together and, when they were old enough, got married. Dr. Schmit
teamed with the Death Squad to defeat the Circle of Justice once and for all,
but the villains hadn’t counted on Scribble and Fin making a timely
appearance. The grateful team offered the duo membership and they accepted. They
were quite successful with the team and moved with them to Atlanta. They built
their own family, first by adopting the seemingly abandoned young Quince A Quail
named Nim and then, by having a daughter, Samantha, who would grow up to be
Barracuda. When the team disbanded, Scribble and Fin went in to semiretirement,
always willing to serve in an emergency.
Personality/Motivations:
Far from resenting his appearance and his being pushed toward being a hero, he
embraced it. As close to a normal guy as a blue-skinned, seven foot tall,
super-speedster can be, Scribble truly enjoys his life and having Fin to share
it with despite the dangers inherent in following in his father’s footsteps.
Quote: "I never run any faster than I can see."
