Background/History:
With the threat of expanding communism overshadowing the horizon, America needed
it’s heroes now more than ever. So the White House approved "Operation
Stars and Stripes" for the Russian defector Dr. Koloff to use his medical
advancements to create a pair of super-powered individuals. For several years,
these experiments were conducted with little success, leaving the volunteers
either dead or disfigured. Enter Samuel Simpson, Army Captain, and all around
American patriot and his fiancee, Sara Nicks. Simpson and Nicks proved fortunate
enough to possess the meta-gene that properly interacted with Koloff’s drugs
and were transformed into the heroes Star and Stripe. They had a distinguished
career with the Justice Avengers darkened by the tragic death of Stripe at the
hands of Baal. Star continued with the team until he, Lanterson, and Canuck were
trapped in a stasis field due to Baal where they remained unchanging for nearly
twenty years.
Personality/Motivation:
Star has a great and genuine compassion for life in all forms, going to great
lengths to protect it. He has been known to use his powers to aid the needy and
help improve to standard of living for the poor. He has noble values and
exemplary ethics. He is truly a hero’s role-model, who has dedicated his life
and service to bettering mankind.
