Seiryuu

Seiryuu is the blue dragon of spring, guarding the eastern part of the sky with the constellations Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. (Yeah, the sun is in these constellations in the fall, but you can see 'em in late spring...) He rules metal/water and War. Seiryuu's shichiseishi are Nakago, Amiboshi, Suboshi, Soi, Ashitare, Tomo, Miboshi. Seiryuu is generally believed to be the "Bad" God, because Kutoukoku is generally the instigator of wars, and because of the actions of Seiryuu's shichiseishi.

As the god of war, Seiryuu's influence over Kutoukoku is obvious by the war-torn country while the greedy emperor expanded his borders by invasion.

It is unclear exactly when Seiryuu chose his miko in Hongou Yui; when she'd first arrived with Miaka in the book world? Or when she took Miaka's place the first time the Suzaku no Miko returned to her own world. Either way, once Yui became Seiryuu no Miko, she was given the task of summoning Seiryuu, after which she was allowed three wishes from the god.

Even without all of her seishi, Yui managed to summon Seiryuu with the help of the Genbu and Byakko shinzaho. Like Suzaku, Seiryuu granted his miko any wish she desired and Yui's first wish was to fulfill the Kutou emperor's desire to declare war on Konankoku by first sealing Suzaku, Konan's protector.

Yui was too weak to resist Seiryuu's power and upon granting the three wishes, Seiryuu no Miko was consumed by the god. It was Miaka's wish, borrowing Suzaku's power, that suceeded in releasing Yui.

While Seiryuu and Suzaku battled over the city of Tokyo, this was only a symbol of the strife between their respective seishi. When faced with a common threat in Tenkou, all four gods combined their powers to destroy Tenkou.
