Sex in FY indeed.

While you do not see actual, graphic scenes that would require the so-called mature audiences only, there are times when parental discretion is advised.

Or is that only in my opinion because I'm a prude?

The scenes in FY do not exude sexuality and the outfits don't display some of the ... uplifting qualities of the stereotypical female anime characters, unless you count Soi's outfit. Even then, her outfit wasn't exceptionally revealing.

It appears that much of the hormonal stimulation is left to the males of Fushigi Yuugi, and from what I can see in some websites, stimulation is a mild word indeed.

The question is how is sexuality used in FY. Is it a major incentive to watch the series? Or is it a comedic thing? Remember Miaka and the "You have a nice butt" comment? How about those miko outfits? And just how often does Tamahome need to lose his shirt?

Considering how the majority of the cast consists of good looking anime guys, is there really any sexuality left for Miaka?

You just can't escape that s-word any where you go...
