Etcetera

I'm sure there's a better name for the section of a fanzine where all the rest of the stuffs go, like the regular columns, but this was the best we could come up with at short notice. So, I guess we're stuck with it. Anyway, there's no telling what else might be added here in the future so maybe the name is apt, after all.

But, for now, here's what we have to offer as a regular thing starting this issue.

For your entertainment
The original idea was for there to be contests here but until we sort out the prizes, it'll remain strictly for your entertainment only. But, if there are enough participants and entries, we will surely try our best to organise the contest for next issue.

A pin-up poster...
Pin-up posters This may be a piece of fanart or an edited image using a graphics program, but you must have some creative input into it and not simply a scan from the artbook or a screencap from the anime series.

Size restrictions are 640 to 1024 pixels wide by 460 to 720 pixels high for landscape pictures, and the other way round for potrait pictures. The content of the graphic must be related to Fushigi Yuugi and it must be original to be accepted. No copying of others' ideas! The picture may contain spoilers but keep it clean, please. Pictures containing profanity or hentai subjects will not be accepted.

You may submit the pictures by uploading it to your own website and sending us the URL by e-mail (the_quill@iname.com) or if you wish to submit an attachment, please e-mail us first to arrange it. Please do not send attachments to the above e-mail address. Thank you!

The winner will be selected by the editors and be showcased in the next month's issue.

Manga captions...
Most of us are familiar with the concept of Fushigi Akugi. Basically, you take a scene from the manga, delete the words spoken by the characters, and... add in some creative modifications of your own. Sounds like fun, right? Here are two scenes for you to ponder upon.

From volume 14: the god of love, Suzaku has a talk with his miko... or is that the other way round? (no spoilers) ... click here

From volume 14: everyone's favorite old bag, Taiitsukun. What do you suppose Tasuki has to say to her? (no spoilers) ... click here
