Riverside Inn History
The Riverside Inn was opened in 1995 but has been a Cranford establishment since 1900. Before it became Jake and Jocco's Riverside Inn, it was known as the Dive. It's the former site of Cyrus Drake's landing and in fact the Lenape Indians used the site as a resting ground. Today its simply the resting ground of good friends.
The Riverside Today
The Riverside been described as the last great Tavern on the face of the earth. It is admired by all who come in to see the friendly faces waiting to serve you. Even the rich and famous have been here, including Kiefer Sutherland. In the sea of resturaunts and dives, the Riverside stands out as a true gem (Epps 1). Who wouldn't want to go to a place, whose motto is 'Come as strangers, leave as firends'. |
