Abby was an MIT graduate at the top of her class. She
was hired right out college by a firm to recover data on old systems and set
up a new network in their office. The latter was a piece of cake, but the
data retrieval was where her talents as a natural hacker came into play. The
hard drives were very old and from crashed systems, plus the info was
encrypted. It was only after she realized what she had stumbled across that she realized what she had gotten herself into. Abby stumbled across a manifest of all of their human-harvesting warehouses in the country, which is a very lucrative business. Apparently, their last mainframe had been destroyed in some sort of raid. Once the job was completed, she tried to destroy the info but was set upon by the vampires. They fed on her and then threw her off the roof, leaving her for dead. ShadowGuard intercepted the ambulance call and brought her in for debriefing. They were able to cure the virus before she turned and repaired the extensive damage to her brain and skull with cybernetic implants. Parts of her long-term memory were irrecoverable, so she consented to implants that aided in her terminal-interfacing. |
