Animated GIF's;

     Making animated .gif files can be fun. I use the .gif animator made by Microsoft you can get a copy of the GIF Animator Lite at Soft Seek for free, along with many other software programs. Remember keep the images you make them with as small as possible and use the fewest number of images possible to avoid raising the download time on your page.

     I would love to take full credit for these skull gifs, but someone else did the original 43kb skull drawing. As you can see, the fewer number of images in the animation, can quickly make a big difference in the size of the animation and in some cases less can make for a better presentation. These three animated gifs are public domain.

• This one is 43kb the original with 10 images.

• This one is 4kb with 2 images.

• This one is 7kb with 2 images, also.

• This one is drawn by me and is 10kb with 10 images, also.

     On this one I used Harm Tiles '99 & the Gif Animator and PhotoWorks 4.13 to make what you see.

• This animation is 35kb for the finished gif. It has 5 images.

     I used Harm Tiles '99 & the Gif Animator and PhotoWorks 4.13 to make the twinkling star for one of my sites. Since there where seven stars in the sky my wife suggested slightly different speeds on the way they twinkle. Here they are. If you want the rest of the images from that set it's the TOWERB1.jpg and the TowerSkyBg.jpg. When combined these images make a dark blue night sky with a black shadowy silhouette of a castle tower and of course seven twinkling stars.
