The Yemen Modern School was founded in 1991 as a private, non- profit educational institution, seeking to offer a rigorous academic curriculum to able students in The Republic of Yemen. The Arabic Section of the school began as a complete primary, preparatory and secondary program, satisfying the requirements of the Yemeni Ministry of Education. The English Section of the school began as a complete primary program along with only the first year preparatory. Since that time, as each class was promoted, the English Section has grown to include a complete preparatory and secondary program.

The Yemen Modern School continues to grow and expand. Although the school enjoys an excellent reputation in Yemen, it is not content to rest on its past accomplishments. It continues to improve its program by keeping abreast of and applying the most modern techniques in education. In doing so, Yemen Modern School staff continues to offer a high standard of education for the children of Yemen.
