Before the words come out of my mouth,

you know what my fears are.

Before the tears begin to flow,

you know what has hurt my soul.

Before the laughter escapes my lips,

you know what brings me joy.

Before my doubts are spoken aloud,

you know what demons possess me.

You know me as few do,

love me in spite of my faults.

Your gift of friendship,

So precious to me.

Cherished each day.

Important to maintain.
