What is the actual subject of Genesis 2 ?

Genesis 2 

1 
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of 
them. 

2 
And on the seventh day God ended his work [ NOT 8th day] 
which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which 
he had made. 

3 
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he 
had rested from all his work which God created and made.

 THIS is the end of the story of Gods creation, as stated in above verses. What you will read from verse 4 on, as you will read in every story of a given "GENERATION", whether it's the generations of Adam, Noah, or even Jesus himself , is their past history of how they came to be !  This is exactly the subject of Genesis 2:4-7.

You know this truth !     You always have !   



GENESIS 2:4 

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, when they were created,

! STOP ! 
 
WHAT WAS JUST SAID?  READ VERSE 4 AGAIN, CAN YOU FOLLOW THE  SUBJECT ?  

WHAT IS BEING SPOKEN OF ?,
"These are (what?)the generations of the heavens and of the earth (when?)in the day that the LORD God made the  (what?) earth and the heavens, (when?)when they were created," !!! 
 
WERE STILL BEING TOLD OF THE FIRST 6 DAYS OF... (what?)"the earth and the heavens, (when?) when they were created,",
WERE STILL BEING TOLD OF THE FIRST 6 DAYS OF CREATION! 

THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF GENESIS 2 !!!
(it's given twice in that verse alone!)

KEEPING THE SUBJECT IN FOCUS, FOLLOW IT THRU VERSE BY VERSES, CAN YOU SEE THE FIRST SIX DAYS OF CREATION IS THE SUBJECT GOD IS SPEAKING OF IN GENESIS 2 ? 

REMEMBER WHAT THINGS WERE CREATED IN THE 6 DAYS OF CREATION !  THAT INCLUDES MANKIND !
   

LET'S READ THOSE FEW VERSES THRU IN THE ACTUAL CONTEXT IN WHICH THEY ARE GIVEN...

Gen 2:4-7 "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, when they were created [i.e. days 1&2], and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew [i.e. day3], for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground [i.e. day 6], and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul  .

EXACTLY WHERE DO YOU SEE THIS SUBJECT CHANGE ?       

IT  DOESN'T !!!



LETS FOLLOW THE SUBJECT THRU VERSE BY VERSE....



Gen 2:5 
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of 
the field before it grew: [WHY?] *for [*BECAUSE] 
the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not 
a *man to till the ground. [*YET] 

FOLLOWING THE SUBJECT, WERE STILL BEING TOLD OF THE CREATION OF PLANTS & HERBS ON THE THIRD DAY

THE *man JUST REFERRED TO IS *YET TO BE CREATED ON THE STILL TO COME SIXTH DAY! 

THIS IS THE ONE & ONLY FIRST MAN, ADAM!

STAYING IN SUBJECT, (i.e.THE PLANTS & HERBS THAT WERE CREATED ON THE THIRD DAY!  Gen 1:11),WE ARE TOLD THAT THE PLANTS WERE CREATED FULLY GROWN, NOT FROM SEED, BECAUSE IT HAD NOT YET RAINED ! 

6 
But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the 
ground. 

7 
And the LORD God formed *man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into 
his nostrils the breath of life; and *man became a living soul .    

! STOP !  

WHAT PLANTS ARE BEING WATERED ?   
IF YOU HAVE FOLLOWED SUBJECT, YOU KNOW IT'S THE PLANTS OF THE THIRD DAY OF CREATION !

WHAT *man IS BEING SPOKEN OF ? 
 AGAIN, IF YOU HAVE STAYED IN SUBJECT, 
YOU WILL KNOW IT IS  THE ONE & ONLY FIRST MAN, ADAM ! 

Gen 2:8 
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the 
*man whom he had formed. 
[ THIS SIXTH DAY *man , ADAM, WAS FORMED BEFORE THE GARDEN OF EDEN, THEN THE GARDEN WAS 'PLANTED' AND ADAM WAS THEN PLACED IN THIS SPECIAL GARDEN]

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE SOMEONE TO JUMP FROM THE SIMPLE SUBJECT, WHICH WE HAVE ESTABLISHED ABOVE, AND ARE STILL FOLLOWING, AND TRY TO MAKE THIS *man INTO SOME  UNWRITTEN, UNMENTIONED, SEPARATE, OUT OF CONTEXT, "EIGHTH DAY" CREATION ?

You must answer that question yourself !!!

WHY NOT JUST READ WHAT'S ACTUALLY WRITTEN ?
