Forest Plants:
Ginger- The root of the ginger plant can be used as a spice, because it has the flavor of ginger.  It was used as a cure for the whooping cough and indigestion.

Mint- The leaves of the mint plant can use to soothe an upset stomach or sore throat.

Violets- These plants are good in salads, they odd a little color to them.  Use only the young leaves and flowers for this.

May Apple- The fruit of this plant resembles a lemon, and when ripe even taste like one.  When boiling the roots a cathartic will be made.

Jewel Weed- The juice from this plant is said to be the cure for poison ivy rash.  To get this juice crush the stim of the plant and rub the juice on the rash, it also helps to prevent poison ivy rashes.

Oregon Grape-  The root of this plant has been used in the past as a blood purifier and tonic.  The barries were used to help in the cooling and preserves in drinks.

Blue Elderberry-  The berries of this plant can be used in making jelly and wine.  They contain a high amount of vitamin C.  Extracting the juice from the leaves, and adding it to cream, then this cream can be used to heal most burns, poison ivy, and poison oak.
