MAGICK
Magick is the art of focusing, tapping into, and using the natural forces found within and around us to bring about change. Magick itself is made up of three types black, white, and gray. The use of it by the practitioner determines what direction or path you will take. Witches hold the rede sacred and do not perform negative magick. Spells that harm, manipulate, or cause destruction or pain are all forms of negative or black magick. Gray magick is the mix of black and white magick.  In order to perform magick, one must take the time to understand what it is. In magick you receive from it exactly what you put into it. This refers to the will and effort you put into it, not how elaborate the spell was or how many fancy tools you used. Many who are new to magick seem to be in quite a rush to find and use magick spells. To simply take a spell from some ones book of shadows, collect the ingredients, and go through the motions as if it were a recipe in a cook book is not the way to go about it. Your energy, focus, will , visualization and intent are all what make up a powerful spell or rite. It comes back to the "you recieve from it exactly what you put into it" principle. To borrow aspects from other spells is fine, but remember that the spell itself was created specifically for the use of the person who designed it. Many of the spells in my Book of Shadows (BOS) are ones I have made or what other people have send me.
