Like I have already said, due to the nature of the medium you can not see what the kajirae are doing so you have to rely on their words. They rely on yours as well. With the emotes and your words you can tell alot about yourself. Be active, be conversational. If Masters and kajirae see you in the channel and that you participate things will come alot quicker. Don't go looking for a kajira to collar straight off. It is a long process and they have to know you as well as you need to know them. Collaring to me is something very special and has alot of meaning so I won't go into it here. I have another page for that. Don't be afraid to speak in channel just speak wisely. If you know nothing of what is going on then keep your mouth shut and learn.
The business of killing people on IRC is really a moot point in my opinion. How can you kill someone in cyber? Most people don't recognize it or condone it on IRC as it is a waste of time. Just be aware that if someone has it out for you, you can bet that your life will be miserable. You will face alot of kicks and bans. Even if you change your name they will figure it out and do it all over so just be careful. The Assassins of IRC feel differently about kills. I would suggest visiting #House-of-Kur to find out more about that Caste and what they consider a kill.
One more note on Gor IRC...
If you are coming to the channels just to find cybersex then you are barking
up the wrong tree. There are other channels that would be more befitting
your stature as an HNG. If you come to the Gorean channels expecting to
find that, you can or will be banned. It is a serious business to
most of us there ... It is not just a game. We do encourage
people to join the rooms and learn. It is one of the best ways to find
out about Gor and it's people.
