IPPL has been honored with a "Highly Commended" in BBC Wildlife Magazine's contest for publications published by environmental non-profit organizations.
IPPL News was founded in 1973 and we are now up to Volume 24. Our magazine is a hard-hitting, name-naming publication. Members learn in detail about crimes against primates. In one case they had a chance to write letters to a Miami judge to request that a probation plea-bargain for an orangutan smuggler be rejected. The judge threw out the deal and the smuggler Matthew Block went to prison.
IPPL News always asks readers to send letters to governments around the world to seek justice for primates.
We also carry lively articles about overseas rescue centers and the wonderful people working to care for abused animals - and about the magnificent animals they serve.
IPPL News is published three times a year and is sent free to IPPL members
paying our annual dues of $20. To join, send US $20 or equivalent to IPPL,
