Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton crawler crane

The crawler crane is the most widely used crane on the inland rivers. It is usually placed on railroad ties and secured to the deck with rachet binders. This crane is used for everything from dredging to moving lids on hopper barges including lifting cargo from one barge to another. Along with a weighted hook, these cranes have a clamshell bucket and some have baskets for lifting workers.
