Soups & Stews Indian Buffalo Stew

Recipe Ingredients


1 lb diced buffalo steak
1/4 c each oil or fat and corn flour
1/2 cabbage, large chunks
8 potatoes, cut up
8 carrots, cut up
4 onions, cut up
1 can diced tomatoes (or fresh)
salt, pepper and stock



Recipe Directions


Brown meat in oil or fat.Remove.
Add flour to make roux.
Add stock and whip.
Return meat to pot, simmer 1 hour.
Add cabbage, onions and carrots.
Simmer 40 minutes.
Add potatoes and simmer until tender.
Add tomatoes and salt and pepper.
Optional--2 t gravy master
