The Earth Alliance(EA) is controlled by a president on Earth. It is made up consortiums and off-world colonies. Earthforce is the main military branch. Some colonies still want independence from the EA. Babylon 5 broke away from the EA in 2260 when President Clark declared Martial Law. The ambassador is whoever is in charge of the station.
Captain John Sheridan- "We're not just holding jobs and having dinner, we are in the process of building the future. That is what Babylon 5 is all about."
Commander Susan Ivanova- "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
Security Chief Michael Garibaldi- "I guess I keep hoping that some day, somewhere, I'll make a difference--that at the end of the say, everything that we've gone through here for the last few years will mean something."
