Skills & abilities:
Major: Mirage Intelligence CounterA defensive special where PhantomBlast creates the illusion of
himself around a member of the attacker's faction or ally (of my choice).
The attacker must beat an intelligence roll (intelligence + roll) of 12 in
order to realize that it is an illusion. Illusion lasts until Phantom Blast
is hit and the hit doesn't have to cause damage. This special can be placed
on very large bots like bases when used in gestalt form and the bot within
the mirage can still be attacked by name.
Minor: Pit StopBy making a skill roll once a battle, Phantom can restore 2 endurance points to a fellow Autobot.
CLAN STRENGTH:Bravado. All autobots can re-roll any one failed courage roll in battle.
Personality/History: He is an ancestor of the Autobot Mirage and during his long history has always played a minor but important role in many battles and wars. PhantomBlast received his name from his preference to attack from the shadows and that his sniper attacks are heavy in firepower. He was well trained by an unknown assassin and is a very intelligent and crafty character. He moves quickly and has great accuracy in his attacks like any true sniper. He prefers not to fight but may if called upon. PhantomBlast has superior speed and will sometimes brag about being the fastest land bot on Cybertron and possibly even the universe.
PhantomBlast was created on the planet 0906-Nedai, a planet that was used by many neutral bots, and he and his twin brother were formed by an unknown energy source. The planet was very large, contained no organic life, little resources and had little to offer but safety and solitude. The residents were never at arms and mainly interacted for amusement only. The only entertainment was the Nedai races. They started out as challenges and eventually evolved into multi-vehicle races. He took the F1 racer form after many customizations done by himself. Late in the planet's life, many bots were forced to leave the planet. PhantomBlast stowed away on a vessel that was headed back to Cybertron. Once there he, secluded himself and began collecting information on the planet's residents. Over the years he got bored of the planet and intended to stow away on the Arc when he heard that it was headed to explore new areas of the Universe. The Autobots left earlier than planned and PhantomBlast was working while this all happened. Still interested in searching out a new place to dwell, he joined a different scientific mission incredibly far away from Cybertron. He returned later to Cybertron after the great war and journeyed to Earth to join his descendant Mirage.
PhantomBlast is some what valuable and his existence has mainly been to fulfill contracts for all sides of the war, but his services do not come cheaply. He joined the Autobots very late and his loyalty is unknown and cannot be trusted; and hence is never given any power in the ranks of the Autobots. He cares little about overall power and would rather keep to himself. The Autobot leaders requested that PhantomBlast reveal all of his kills and he refuses to this very day. It was rumored that PhantomBlast was responsible for the death of his twin brother and loyal AutoBot WarpSpeed, when a bounty for the destruction of the spy WarpSpeed was put out. It was also been rumored that PhantomBlast was killed while racing with his brother, and that WarpSpeed took the name and identity of his twin brother. His identity and life are a mystery and he hides his past from everyone at all costs even removing some information from his history circuits. There are things that he doesn't even know about himself.
He has been known on occasion to ignore orders and is considered for the most part and independent bot and not necessarily a rebel. Oddly enough he has never been labeled a traitor. He does as he pleases but is very serious when it comes to his work. He joined the Autobots because they had the resources to allow him to continue his work on weapons, items and devices. He also believes that the Autobots have the best chance (currently) of winning the war. The Autobot leaders only keep him around because of his trans-geneology with the Autobots. All sides recognize that he is better as an ally, than as a pesky enemy.
PhantomBlast is an average fighter with average courage and endurance. His skills are incredible and his intelligence complements it very well. His best skill is changing his colours through a paint like material he discovered on his journeys. His natural colour is a light blue (like the sky) but adapts to black for the night. He can fix almost any weapon or item and has worked over the past many cycles on various new weapons, items and devices. His experience in battle has allowed him to understand many battle strategies and truly understands the art of camouflage. He is hard to fool and in his free time he hunts. His favourite targets used to be turbo foxes until they no longer created a challenge. He moved to hunting chameleons and is no longer fooled by their camouflage. Later on when the Beast Wars do occur, PhantomBlast takes on a third form of a chameleon to utilize its natural illusionary skills.
PhantomBlast is very weak and is of average size. He prefers long range attacks and is vulnerable to close range strength attacks. Some bots call him a coward because he is rarely SEEN in battle; but he is always there at a distance or is camouflaged. He often lurks in the shadows during battles due to his minimal courage. He often seeks protection from larger bots if he cannot use his speed to outwit his opponents. Very few bots can deal with him and currently only Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus can reason with him.
WEAKNESS:PhantomBlast is an elitist and loves to hunt and race. He is known for being the fastest Autobot and he will only take challenges to race with other bots whose speed is 9 or higher. Although intelligent, his passion to race will sometimes blind his decisions. He is known to get out of control and push his limits too far while racing and occasionally crashes himself, unnecessarily damaging himself
CLAN WEAKNESS: Compassion. All autobots must willingly risk their own health and life in order to help others, even Decepticons if they ask for it.
