Skils and abilities: MAJOR:Energon Cube design. Soundwave is able to construct energon cubes.

MINOR: Hold Tapes. Soundwave can hold an infinite # of casettes within his chest.
MINOR: Fleshling Telepathy. Soundwave can read human minds through electrical brain impulses.
MINOR: Super senses: Soundwave can pick up any sort of electrical, radio, radiation or energy signal within 30 miles of himself.

CLAN STRENGTH: FLIGHT IN ROBOT MODE. All Decepticons can fly in robot mode.

History/Personality. Soundwave is Megatron's most trusted and oldest ally. Some even say they could be considered friends. He was one of the first Decepticons and has never questions any of Megatron's commands or decisions. He is not a zealot, but he is a firm believer in Megatron and truly feels the Decepticon cause is right.
A communications expert, Soundwave has always been able to break autobot codes and frquencies. Many an ambush on the Autobots has been caused by Soundwave's skill at codebreaking.
Probably Soundwave's most important contribution to the Decepticon cause is his ability to make Energon cubes. His creation changed the entire race of Transformers and Energon cubes became the standard means of consuming fuel for the Decepticons. Soundwave is easilt the Emeril Legasse of the Transformers. Finally, although unemotional and cold to everyone around him, he does care deeply for his tapes, for whom he plays a father figure. As well, he is constantly in awe of Megatron and does all that he can to please him.

Weakness: Soundwave is utterly loyal to Megatron and his cassettes and will allow himself to be harmed, perhaps even killed, in their stead. As well, Soundwave is "an uncharasmatic bore" as Hook of the Constructicons once put it. Thus Soundwave has trouble stimulating the troops whenever he is in charge of a mission. Soundwave must spend TWO rank points for every one point of increase to any fellow decepticons dice roll. CLAN WEAKNESS: STRENGTH IN NUMBERS. All decepticons must retreat if a Decepticon with a higher rank that them retreats.
