Ulf "Lill-Pröjsarn" Nilsson, "Another Flying Swede".

As a son to Gösta "Pröjsarn" Nilsson, Ulf started his sports career at the age of 14.

He played bandy, football (soccer) and ice hockey. The swedish club AIK (Solna AIK) contracted Ulf as both a football- and ice hockey player.

Due to injuries with his knees, he had to stop playing football. From 1968 he was 100% focused on ice hockey. He made the debut in AIK later the same year and from the Season 1969-70 Ulf Nilsson was self written in the team.

He made his debut playing for team Sweden "Tre Kronor" in Moscow 1973. The Swedes won a Silver Medal.

After the 1974 World Championships, Ulf signed up for Winnipeg Jets in the WHA league. Together with fellow Swede Anders Hedberg and Bobby Hull he made big success in the WHA.

Even with a previous career including many injuries, he made a fantastic career as a professional player. Each of his Seasons in the WHA, Ulf made more than 100 Points. Ulf Nilsson is the 3rd best playmaker in the WHA History.

The line-up, Ulf Nilsson, Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull, made more than 1,500 Points in 365 Games and was one of the most fearful line-ups in the professional league.

Ulf Nilsson became, together with Anders Hedberg,  the best paid hockey player in the world (5.5 million SEK) when he signed the contract for New York Rangers in 1978.

After his career, Ulf stayed in America and is now a business man.
