ZANDRA: Glen? Thats not Glen.
LEX: So who is it then?
PATSY: Its the grown-up Jack saw on his camera. And how does he know your name?
LEX: This is a wind up, isnt it? I mean look at him, he was only as old as I am.
ZANDRA: A month younger.
AMBER: Nobody touch him.
PATSY: What? What is it?
AMBER: Seems to me theres only one thing it can be.
TRUDY: The virus.
Scene 02
SALENE: Look at its little trotters, it knows us.
RYAN: How do you mean? Knows us?
SALENE: It likes us.
RYAN: You reckon?
SALENE: Yeah, pigs are really intelligent, they pick up on things.
RYAN: And they also taste great with applesauce.
Scene 03
GLEN: I told you, I dont know, it just happens. One day you feel fine, then this.
BRAY: But from how youre talking, what there's others?
GLEN: Loads.
LEX: So why did you come here?
GLEN: I was brought here, remember? You try wandering around out there Lex, no one to talk to, nothing to eat. What would
you say to an invite somewhere safe? No thanks?
LEX: Look hes got to go.

RYAN: What?
SALENE: Ryan, do we have to, you know, kill it?
RYAN: Well we cant eat it unless we kill it Salene.
SALENE: No Ryan, I mean do we have to do that? Eat it? I mean look at it, it thinks were its mom and dad, it would be
like eating your own child.
RYAN: I hope my childs a bit better looking than that.
SALENE: Its not funny Ryan, its a poor helpless little baby animal, we cant just- just butcher it.
RYAN: Well the others will want to.
SALENE: Not if they dont see it.
RYAN: How do you mean?
SALENE: There. Cheer up Ryan, you may be loosing a meal but youre gaining a little friend.

AMBER: If what hes saying is true, then wed be putting him out to be killed.
ZANDRA: What about us? Look at him, he shouldnt be here!
JACK: Well he wouldnt be if Patsy hadnt brought him.
AMBER: Thats enough Jack!
PATSY: You saw him! I only went to find him because you saw him! I didnt know! I didnt know this would happen!
LEX: So what do we do? Do we sling him out or do we let him stay here and risk us all getting it?
CLOE: Patsy!
TRUDY: No Cloe! Let her go!
CLOE: But shes my friend.
AMBER: Cloe we dont know how this thing is passed on, we cant risk you getting it.
CLOE: I dont care!
LEX: As I was saying-
BRAY: The cage. We could put him in the cage.
GLEN: What cage?
BRAY: We need to isolate you.

GLEN: Ryan, I was wondering where youd got to.
RYAN: Lex, whos that?
LEX: Remember Glen?
RYAN: Glen?
SALENE: Whats going on?

CLOE: Patsy? Patsy?
Scene 08
ZANDRA: We have to do something, what if its catching?
TAI-SAN: We dont know enough about the virus, we cant speculate.
DAL: Tai-Sans right, and even if it is transmittable, we dont know how.
ZANDRA: Does it matter how?
DAL: It would help if we knew. It could be by touch, it could be airborne, I suppose it could even be dormant in all of
us.
ZANDRA: Dont say that! Dont say that!
TRUDY: Take it easy Zandra, Dals just guessing.
BRAY: Look, we could be barking up the wrong tree, I mean, after all, the virus we know has only affected adults.
DAL: Unless its mutated and age groups dont matter.
ZANDRA: We should have done what Lex said, thrown him out hes contagious.
AMBER: Zandra, if he is, then well Lex has been in contact, and Patsy too, do they get thrown out as well?
ZANDRA: No youre wrong, Lex hardly touched him!
JACK: But he did touch him, look none of us can risk going near Lex now.
AMBER: Lex will have to be isolated, and Patsy too.
RYAN: So what about Cloe?
SALENE: Cloe! If shes still with Patsy-
BRAY: Ill go with her, anybody else?
TAI-SAN: Ill come!
LEX: What?
ZANDRA: I told them you hardly touched Glen, just sat him in a chair.
AMBER: The thing is, we dont know if this thing is transmitted by touch, were just doing it for the safety of the tribe;
Patsy will have to be isolated too.
LEX: No! Theyre right Zan, we cant take the chance. Zan Ill just- Ill sit over there; I need to think things out.

JACK: Why is everybody acting like its all over, I mean- I mean come on!
DAL: Nobody is Jack, were just being cautious.
JACK: Look there are adults out there, okay?
DAL: Jack!
JACK: Look I dont thing Glens the man I saw on the security screen.
RYAN: Well me and Salene never saw anybody.
JACK: Look that doesnt mean a thing!
AMBER: Just leave it you two. Has anyone seen Kc?

PATSY: You should have told me, instead of letting me think you were a grown-up. You should have said something!
GLEN: It makes no difference now.
PATSY: It does to me, I brought you here. Everybody blames me for whats happened.
GLEN: You were my last chance. I would be dead right now if you hadnt come along. Dead might be better.

BRAY: Anything?
SALENE: She must be around here somewhere.
CLOE: Patsy! Patsy!
BRAY: Come on!

PATSY: Did they have to lock you up in there?
GLEN: Id have done the same.
PATSY: Im sorry things turned out like this for you.
GLEN: Im sorry I got you into trouble.
CLOE: Patsy!
BRAY: Cloe! No Cloe! You mustnt touch her.
TAI-SAN: Its just a precaution, thats all.
SALENE: Its okay Patsy, we just have to keep you and Lex apart from the rest of us for a while.
PATSY: Ive not only brought it then, Ive gone and got it.

JACK: Well what about the locks on the doors?
ZANDRA: If Lex says hell stay, hell stay! Got it?
JACK: I just thought-
TRUDY: The only person who needs to be locked up is you for suggesting it!
AMBER: Zandra, if you think he has everything he needs, why dont you bring Lex?
Scene 14
LEX: This place had better have five star waitress service. And tell Kc that I said to make sure that you have everything
you need, okay? Or Ill infect him.
Scene 15
AMBER: Okay look everybody, we should have guessed something like this would happen, we knew the virus was around and
we ignored it, well we cant ignore it any longer.
ZANDRA: Its a bit late for that, isnt it? When its already here, this time tomorrow we could all have it.
JACK: Look we need to get help.
BRAY: Look if we keep rational and talk about it, we might work something out that might help.
TAI-SAN: This is a very scary time for all of us, but its not the first time in our history something like this has happened.
JACK: What are you on about?
TAI-SAN: Our past is full of plagues and diseases, threatening to wipe everyone out, but were still here, arent we? People
found the strength to survive and we need to do the same.
JACK: Look thats rubbish; what we need is to find the cure.
ZANDRA: How? The grown-up couldnt, why should we be able to. What we need-
AMBER: What we need is a solution, or go under. Now I dont know about anybody else, but Im not ready to lie down and die
yet.
KC: Now well all have a good dinner.
SALENE: Good dinner nothing, thats mine.
KC: I found it.
SALENE: Where?
KC: Through there.
SALENE: And how do you suppose it got there?
KC: It could have wandered in.
SALENE: We found it, Ryan and I, its mine.
KC: Hang on, how do we know that?
RYAN: Kc, thats my belt around its neck, now unless you want it around your neck-
KC: Where's Lex? Uh- yuck!
AMBER: Okay everybody, until we decide what has to be done we need to carry on as normal, thats important, right now its
time to eat. Kc, get yourself cleaned up and help make some dinner.

SALENE: Cute little feller, isnt he? He needs a name though. What do you think? What should we call him?
CLOE: Porky.
SALENE: I dont believe it!
CLOE: What?
SALENE: Thats the name I would have given him.
CLOE: It isnt really, your just saying that to take my mind off things.
SALENE: It doesnt do to dwell Cloe.
CLOE: Whats happened to Patsy shouldnt happen to anybody, shes not a bad person.
SALENE: We all know that, and thats why weve got to try really hard to make things easier for her, until- well until things
look a bit more promising.
RYAN: Do you like this one Cloe?
CLOE: Whats that for?
RYAN: A collar.
CLOE: For Porky?
RYAN: Yeah. Want to come help me choose a leech? The pet shops full of them.
CLOE: Yeah.
RYAN: And then we can take him down and show him to Patsy.
CLOE: Cool.

AMBER: I cant remember a day like this since the start of the virus.
BRAY: Thats because there hasnt been a day like this, up till now weve been doing pretty well, considering.
AMBER: Not anymore though, is that what your saying?
BRAY: Well I dont know, I thought you did pretty well today; things could have fallen apart all together.
AMBER: They still might, you didnt do too bad yourself though, finding Cloe, and thanks for the back up.
BRAY: Well I should be the one thanking you, the trial, the way you fought my corner.
AMBER: Id forgotten about the trial, seems like a million years ago.
BRAY: Yeah well, thanks anyway.
AMBER: No problem. We- we should think about what were going to do from here.
BRAY: Sure. Sure.
AMBER: What do you think?
BRAY: Well I think Tai-Sans right; we need to know more about the virus. Where it came from and what went wrong.
AMBER: Well why dont we do that? Why dont we go out and find that information as a first step?
BRAY: Maybe we should
AMBER: Is there anything else of your mind?

PATSY: Hello Porky.

DAL: Come on Jack, grubs up.
JACK: Yeah
DAL: Jack!
JACK: Im coming.
DAL: If you dont come now-
JACK: Dal! Look get off my back will you! Look go- go have something to eat, if you want to, Ive got more important things
to do. Stupid, stupid idiot! Look if theres people out there weve got to be ready to communicate with them!
DAL: Theres no one out there Jack, its all up here.
JACK: There is! There is, and I know it! Theres got to be!
DAL: Now listen to me! This is the way things are, this whole place is in a deep, deep stuck, up to the armpits. And you,
your pretending itll all go away, this is the time when everybody needs you! Yeah dont look surprised, youre the only scientist
weve got, remember? Get real Jack, this isnt a fire practice, its the real thing and the sooner you face up to things, the
more use youll be to everybody, including yourself.

LEX: Hey!
ZANDRA: Its me.
LEX: So youre immune or something?
ZANDRA: What?
LEX: Zan you know why Im in here.
ZANDRA: Youve got to eat.
LEX: And youve got to stay away. Especially you.
ZANDRA: Well your okay?
LEX: I suppose.
ZANDRA: Are you comfortable? I miss you. When you get out well have a party, right?
LEX: Yeah
ZANDRA: You know, I keep thinking, if the Locos hadnt caught Glen the day we found this place, none of this would have
happened, he would have been one of us, wouldnt he?
LEX: I suppose, but then you may not have married me, he was sweater, he was Glen.
ZANDRA: I made my choice, and I dont regret it.
LEX: Truth?
ZANDRA: Truth.
LEX: Even now?
ZANDRA: Especially now, Im proud of you.
LEX: Thanks. Now beat it.

AMBER: Okay, listen up everybody, weve had an idea and wed like you to hear it out and well decide if its the right thing
to do.
BRAY: We need information, as much as we can dig up about the virus. Where it started, how it started and why it started.
We need names, dates, places.
DAL: Where do we get this information?
BRAY: Libraries, newspaper offices, government buildings, anywhere. The idea is that we send out two teams tomorrow; find
out as much as we can, what do you say?
KC: Who goes with who?
AMBER: Well not decided yet, but well need some people to stay behind to guard the place.
ZANDRA: Against what? The biggest threats in here already.
JACK: Shes right, I mean, we should all go.
SALENE: Whos going to look after Lex? And Patsy? Not to mention Glen.
TRUDY: I will, Ill have to stay with the baby anyway.
ZANDRA: Im not leaving Lex.
KC: Ill volunteer.
AMBER: All we want to know is do we think its a good idea? Well decide who goes later. Good, speaking of Glen, he needs
feeding. Any volunteers?
CLOE: Can I take Patsys?

SALENE: Cloes taking her time.
RYAN: Theyre probably talking.

KC: Ryan, wheres your pig?
RYAN: Right here, I- Oh-
SALENE: What have you done with it Ryan?
KC: Yeah Ryan? Wheres Porky? Porky?
RYAN: Shut it you!
JACK: Hey there it is! Eating our crackers!
SALENE: Get it Ryan!
AMBER: Dont let it get away! Cloe? Whats going on?
CLOE: Patsys my best friend, and Ive tried, but I cant manage without her, I love her very much, so if shes going to be
virused, then Im going to be virused too.
SALENE: Shes right, whatever happens, were in this together.
AMBER: If this thing can be beaten, we can beat it together.
