Trunks' mentor, and best friend.  He died, sadly in the middle of a cold, sad, dark night.  That, however, was the chain reaction to Trunks' first successful Super Saiyan transformation.  Gohan is a good guy and he looks out for Trunks.  Whoo! Present Gohan is the same, but he saves everyone when he kills Cell, yay!

The reason why Trunks goes to the past in the first place is to save Goku. Trunks doesn't know much about Goku other than what his mother and Gohan had told him.  When he goes to help fight in the war, he learns all the praise given to this goofy protagonist was true.  Goku is a good father, and fighter who is as pure as his hair is spikey.  Isn't he cute ^^?

I don't know if Trunks knows her in his time that well, but they are aware of each other's existence.  In the, like, two scenes that they are together, they seemed to be like friends ^_^  Chi-Chi is Goku's wife and Gohan's mother.  She is very strict and wants Gohan to be like some sort of Albert Einstein clone, but she loves him none the less.  She is greatly depressed with Gohans death, and that makes her wish he'd never gotten into fighting in the first place.

Erm, I don't know his last name...Anyway! Krillen is the all around good guy side kick to Goku.  He is useful during the Cell saga as to how he's always there as back up and stuff.  In Trunks' timeline, he dies in the attack of the androids.  Ironically enough, though, he falls in love with Android 18 (ugh, I hated that Marron!), and they eventually get married and have their cute daughter in the present timeline.

Strong and silent, this Namekian is the only person other than Goku who know about Trunks before all the rest.  The guy was evesdropping! :P Well, how can't you with those big ears?  Anyway, in Trunks' time, he also dies in the war, but in the present he and Kami fuse forming a really cool strong guy! :D  Yay for Kamiccolo!

Kami

Gaurdian of Earth and a fantastic one at that, till he fuses with Piccolo.  They are both the same person, ANYWAY, so it only made themself stronger to be together.  He was the original creator of the Earth's dragonballs and dragon, Shenron.

Three eyes....Hangs out with the little white emporer dude...um...I really don't know much about Tien!  He's strong, I think, but no where near the strength of the Saiyans and uh...yeah....

Bulma's old boyfriend, loud, and annoying. Somewhat like Krillen, but really annoying, taller, and with hair and scars.  Meep, it also seems that every hair cut he's had, Gohan gets it....Coincidence?  I think not!  Anyway, he does help in the Cell games, I think, and hangs around through the rest of the series.  I don't think he fights much after the Cell saga, though. Ooh Ooh!  There was also a point in his life where he'd play baseball :D  Until the Saiyan attack, of course, where he was pulled away for training from Kami.

Dende is the one and only young Namekian who becomes the new Guardian of Earth when Piccolo fuses with Kami.  Dende had to create a whole new dragon, but the great thing is that the new dragon is based on Shenron so he looks the same, yet Dende managed to have it grant two wishes!  Huzzah!
