WAVE OF NEW 2PAC MATERIAL HITTING THE STREETS.

Tupac Shakur didn't rise from the ashes on the seventh anniversary of
his death as many who still haven't come to grips with his passing have
prophesized and hoped. No, the poetic rebel is gone forever, but like all
legends, his music continues to live on.

Unlike other icons who are no longer here to make new material, Pac's
classic songs, album cuts and even tracks that were left on the cutting
room floor continue to be given new life by DJs, producers and artists
who won't let him fade away.

In the next few weeks a plethora of new releases will hit the stores and
the streets. On October 7 Death Row Records will put out Death Row Presents
2Pac Nu-Mixx Klazzics. Then Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, is spearheading
the release of the soundtrack to MTV Films' Tupac: Resurrection, which
drops November 4.

Currently there are countless Pac mixtapes on the streets, with the most
prominent being the second installment of the Rap Phenomenon CD, which this
time around is a joint venture between Eminem's DJ, Green Lantern, and DJ
Vlad and DJ Dirty Harry. "We've been busting our asses for months on this
one," Vlad said last week in New York of his mixtape. "It's especially
important because it's the anniversary of his death and some people think
he's going to come back on that day. In a way we're bringing him back. We
actually created a whole album full of new Tupac songs."

Obviously Tupac didn't get in the booth and record fresh material for Vlad
and company. So what the trio of spinners did for their mixtape was take
Pac's vocals and piece together verses from different songs over popular
instrumentals like the Black Eyed Peas' "Where Is the Love?" and original
beats made by themselves or such producers as Midi Mafia (50 Cent's "21
Questions"). They've secured the services of Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean,
Jadakiss, Nappy Roots, UGK's Bun B and Bounty Killer for the project.

"Most of the vocals, the die-hard Tupac fans have heard," Vlad explained.
"For the general population, it's going to be like, 'Oh, what's that?'
It's going to be a lot of stuff people really haven't heard.

"First you have to grab as many vocals as you can get of Tupac," he added
about the mixtape. "It's kind of like you start working the beats around
[his voice]. You visualize the song. 'What was he really talking about in
the song?' Sometimes his vibe switched from verse to verse. So you have to be
like, 'I'm going to take the vocals from this song and this song.'"

Red Spyda, who took an unreleased Pac verse earlier this year and pieced it
with new rhymes from 50 Cent for the "Realest Killas," is now working on the
other side of the fence with Pac. He's been enlisted to work on the Tupac:
Resurrection soundtrack.

"You never can go wrong with Tupac," said Spyda, who said he received a
bunch of a cappella verses to work with. "I was just sitting there vibing,
thinking, 'I gotta represent again.' I like that gangsta shit all day so I
try to make [the songs] hard. On my records [for the soundtrack] he's talking
about the cops, niggas getting locked up. I'm from the 'hood so I like doing
records I can relate to."

Some of Pac's friends and fans can't relate or forgive some of the revamping
of Pac's music, especially when it comes to pairing his verses with the vocals
of people with whom he never worked or met or even liked.

"You gotta put a price on fame," Suge Knight said in April before barking about
how he didn't like the fact that Nas rapped on the remix to "Thugz Mansion"
with Tupac, given that Pac lyrically lambasted Nas on the Makaveli album
(1996's Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory). "It can't be to the point where
you'll do anything for a hit. Be a man and respect yourself."

Not only was Knight upset about the officially released "Thugz Mansion"
single, he also was heated over the aforementioned "Realest Killas" smash,
dismissing it as a bootleg.

Knight doesn't stand alone. Outlawz member Fatal Hussein has also hissed
about pairing Pac with others. The verdict is still out on how people will
feel about new collaborations with artists such as Wyclef, whom Pac went at
on "When We Ride on Our Enemies," and Nappy Roots and T.I., whom he never met.

"People are trying to maintain beefs they don't even know anything about,"
Vlad said. "We're not trying to have the [beef] era frozen in time. We're
showing how great Pac was by taking his old records and giving it a modern
backdrop and including people who are relevant and have respect for Pac."

"I say they're full of shit," Red Spyda said about the negative attitudes
toward the Pac remixes and collaborations. "At the end of the day the only
thing that matters is if it's hot or not. I think it's gonna get played out
after a while only because corny people have been doing it. They don't really
realize that what I did with Biggie's 'Realest Niggas' and Tupac's 'Realest
Killas' was planned out. Some people are thinking, 'If I put a record out there
with Tupac I'm gonna blow up.' We was thinking we wanted to make magic. It's
gonna get played out only because of the corny muthafuckers." One thing that
will never get played out is people's love and admiration for Tupac. Seven years
later, he's still one of the most relevant MCs, alive or dead.

"He's timeless, because when you hear Pac you can tell that an A&R didn't tell
him what to say," Red Spyda surmised. "A label exec wasn't like, 'Change the
hook. Make it more for the clubs.' It's timeless because it's real. It's not
even a song, it's him talking to you. Tupac is like one of them homies from
around the way. Listening to him is [like when] y'all are just kicking it,
drinking a 40 or playing some dominoes and he's telling you a crazy-ass story."

50 CENT WANTED FOR QUESTIONING

Police in Jersey City, New Jersey, want 50 Cent and the people who
were traveling with him early Tuesday morning to turn themselves in for
questioning about shots that were fired at a hotel around midnight last night.

According to police, not long after 50 and members of his crew stepped
inside the Doubletree Hotel in Jersey City, shots were fired. Police
investigating the crime scene don't know what type of guns were used, but
they found 10 shell casings from two different caliber of bullets in front
of the hotel and 200 feet away from the Doubletree in a tire shop, the
window of which was shattered by a bullet.

A hotel surveillance camera caught the entire incident on tape, officers
said. Police are analyzing the footage to determine if someone was firing
on 50 and company and if the rapper's associates fired as well. Police do
not know at this point if anyone was injured.

Eyewitnesses told police that after the incident, 50 was whisked away in
his SUV.

Police are giving 50 Cent five days to turn himself in before they issue a
warrant for his arrest. A spokesperson for the rapper did not return calls
by press time.

Snoop and 50 Cent to do an album together.

MTV says a few weeks ago, Snoop said that he recently told 50 Cent
they should do an album together, and now it looks like the "P.I.M.P."
video co-stars might make the idea a reality. Under the supergroup moniker
of "DPG-Unit," the Dogg Pound and G-Unit have recorded almost an entire LP
worth of material together while on the Rock the Mic Tour.

"We're gonna take over the whole world," Snoop's cousin Daz said of the
joint venture. "We got a song with me, Snoop Dogg, [Snoop's protégé]
Soopafly, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent for the G-Unit album."

The six MCs recorded nine other songs in a three-day period while on
tour, but do not have definite plans yet as to where the remaining tracks
will pop up. The supergroup doesn't even have a record label to put an
album out, but members have been toying with the possibility of using
50's G-Unit Records as a recording home.

"Eight [bars], eight [bars], eight [bars], then a hook. Eight, eight,
eight, then a hook," Daz revealed of the DPG-Unit's song structures. "We're
going back and forth. It's all about coordination. Sometimes we're in
there doing our parts while [members of the G-Unit] are onstage. Sometimes
they're doing their parts while we're onstage. We'll be in there sometimes
together. Especially after the show, we have our little parties and
whatever. We be having a good time. We're trying to make it a whole album,
just unite together and keep it crackin.' "

So far, the Dogg Pound and G-Unit have had a spotless record of success
with their collaborations. It was Daz who brought 50 and his tour DJ,
Whoo Kid, the Tupac vocals that wound up being used for the underground
smash "The Realest Killas." Meanwhile, with Snoop appearing on 50's "P.I.M.P"
remix, that record has also become a fan favorite.

Daz, who's also working out a solo recording deal with Jermaine Dupri's
So So Def label, says his ties to the G-Unit go back further. As it turns out,
Young Buck has been a friend of his for years.

Now, apparently, the camaraderie is running rampant throughout both camps.

"We'll all be talking to the G-Unit and tell them, 'Y'all are just like
us.' We all like the same things."

Death Row Records will be busy towards the end of the year.

The next project from Death Row Records is the new 2Pac Nu Mixes, which
is nothing more than remixes of his old classics that feature Row Inmates
Crooked I, Eastwood, Danny Boy, Kurupt, and more. So far, they are looking
at a October 7th release date. Be on the look out for that, and Death Row
will soon release the album cover and official tracklist. Peep the official
Death Row website for more information.

After the Pac album, there is really no next planned release. We'll just
have to wait and see. But here are some of the projects that are being worked
on at Death Row Records.

Kurupt is officially working on his new album called Against Tha Grain.
We'll give you more information on that soon. That will probably be out in
2004.

Another release off of Death Row Records will most likley be the N.I.N.A. aka
Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez project. The album will contain the tracks she recorded
with Death Row before her passing. The album is still untitled.

Still no word on when the Crooked I album is dropping which is dissapointing.
It was supposed to be this year but plans have changed. Hopefully a date will be announced soon.

DeathRowRecords.net recently did a interview with inmate Eastwood. It's a 20
minute interview, that covers some interesting things like his upcoming
album called "Problem Child", Ja Rule hooking up with Tha Row, Daz'
comments and disses, his own label, and the 2Pac Nu Mixes project.

It looks like Death Row is doing fine, Suge Knight's arrest won't slow them
down anytime soon.

Rakim's New Album

Almost three years after signing with Aftermath Records, Rakim is finally
near finishing his first album under Dr. Dre. The legendary MC has been
competing with Eminem, 50 Cent and others for the producer's time, but he's
now a priority.

"Me and Dre, we about to do full-steam on it, and hopefully we should have a
single out towards the end of the summer and the album will follow shortly
after that," Rakim said. "We finally got everything on track like we wanted."

Rakim has logged 16 songs with the producer and hopes to finish seven more.
The first single will be selected after all are in the can. "He can bring the
best out of me, and I want to make sure that I bring the best out of him,"
Rakim said of Dre. "He goes in the studio from 3 p.m. goes home 6, 7, 8 in the
morning, so to me, that's all right. My man wants to work, so let's get it
poppin'."

Rakim refused to reveal whether other Aftermath artists, which now include
Ice Cube and Eve, will be on the album, but he said to expect a few
surprises. "There's a lot of anticipation on this album right here, so at
this point we really want to keep it bottled up. Bottle it up and let it
blow."

Suge Clowning Snoop Again.

Love him or hate him, be near him or fear him, Death Row CEO Suge Knight
can make you laugh. Starting today, you can watch the latest
DeathRowRecords.net intro, Kowards In Kali featuring former artists Snoop
Dogg and Daz Dillenger.

The intro, pokes fun at how much security Snoop Dogg brought to the BET
Awards this past Tuesday. In the clip, Daz mentions that he doesn't want to
end up like Bad Azz who was rumored to get 'gaffled' by an employee of The
Row back in August 2002.

This isn't the first time Suge Knight has used his internet presence to
dis someone. In April, Suge made available Daz's entire album, DPGC: U Know
What I'm Throwin Up, for free online downloads

Newark Airport, for possessing illegal bullets.

According to reports, the mogul was heading to Los Angeles via American

unloaded firearm. During the subsequent inspection, security officials
found the illegal bullets.

Security services interrogated him about having the bullets and then
took him to Union City Jail in Elizabeth, New Jersey where he was issued
a summons and released. Master P faces up to 18 months in prison if

Snoop Dogg's Motorcade Hit by Gunfire??

The following comes from the LA Times Website;

A caravan of five cars, one containing rap music artist Snoop
Dogg, was sprayed with gunfire from a passing vehicle in the Mid-City
area of Los Angeles on Thursday night, injuring his bodyguard.

The motorcade was headed south on Fairfax Avenue near Washington
Boulevard about 9 p.m. when a car pulled alongside the group and an
occupant fired at them repeatedly, police said. Two of the cars were hit
and one man was injured, according to LAPD Officer Don Cox, a department
spokesman.

The victim was identified preliminarily as an off-duty Inglewood Unified
School District police officer who was working as a bodyguard. Authorities
said he suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was taken to Kaiser
Foundation Hospital in West Los Angeles.

Sources said Snoop Dogg employs two Inglewood schools police officers.

Three men were taken into custody about a mile from the scene but were
released several hours later after questioning at the Wilshire Division
station, Cox said.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was uninjured. The
intersection remained taped off near midnight as police combed the area
with dogs and flashlights.

In February 1996, Broadus and his bodyguard, McKinley Lee, were acquitted
of murder charges in the August 1993 shooting death of a young man in a
Palms park.

Round 2: Eminem, 50 Cent Retaliate at Ja Rule, Murder Inc

In what seems to be the hottest battle since Nas vs. Jay-Z, Eminem
and 50 Cent have dropped a bomb on the Murder Inc. camp with a remake of
Tupac's "Hail Mary", premiered on DJ Kay Slay's Hot 97 show last night (4/10).
The song, also featuring a version with Busta Rhymes, was allegedly recorded
in 2002 but was released as a quick retaliation to last week's strike by Ja
Rule called "Loose Change".

The song begins with an intro from Violator CEO Chris Lighty dissing Murder
Inc CEO Irv Gotti saying "Ayo, this is Chris Lighty, f#@$ you Irv Gotti, no
subliminals, hollerin' in the back, we heard you! Yo this is Chris Lighty with
my man Kay Slay, f#@$ you Irv Gotti!"

Once the beat drops, Em sings the chorus of Hail Mary, but with re-worked
lyrics: "Come get me, If you want Shady / If Pac was here now / He would never
ride with Ja / nah, nah, nah, nah".

Em's verse begins with, "You aint no killer you a pu$$y / That ecstasy done
got you all emotional and mushy / beeyatches wearin rags in photos, Ja's words
being quoted / In The Source stealin Pac's sh!t like he just wrote it..."

After Eminem's verse, 50 comes in saying, "Little ni99as name Ja think he live
like me / Talkin about he left the hospital took nine like me / You livin
fantasies ni99a, I been checkin ya deposit / When your little sweet ass gonna
come out of the closet? / Now he wonderin why DMX blowed him out / Next time
grown folks talkin beeyatch close yo mouth..."

50 also took a shot at Murder Inc. artist Black Child saying, "Black yous a
motherf#@$ing punk and you'll see me with gloves / Quit scarin them f#@$ing
kids wit yo ugly ass mug... " In his verse, 50 also calls out Cadillac Tah and
Irv Gotti.

According to sources close to the Aftermath/Shady camp, there is an entire
mixtape in the works that features Em, 50, D12, Dr. Dre, Obie Trice and others
that will respond to disses that crew has been receiving from Murder Inc,
Benzino & The Source, Royce Da 5'9", Pacewon and others to be highlighted on
the mixtape. Although an official release date has not been announced, a source
told SOHH.com that it would drop "very soon... any minute now."

2pac & Crooked I song during Movie Credits.

Death Row Records is releasing the soundtrack to the movie, "Dyfunktional
Family" on April 22nd, but the movie starring Eddie Griffin has already hit
cinemas around America.

When the soundtrack was first announced by Death Row, it was advertised
that 2Pac would feature on the soundtrack. A latter announcement confirmed
HitEmUp.com's report that the track was a remix of 2Pac's hit single, "2 of
America's Most Wanted" now featuring current Death Row front man, Crooked I
in place of Snoop Dogg.

As anticipation built for the track, all mention of 2Pac's name was dropped
from any advertisement to do with the soundtrack, and it was announced that
the song would no longer feature on the project. Rumors surrounding a legal
dispute between Death Row, Afeni and possibly Snoop Dogg soon surfaced, but
none were confirmed, leaving many 2Pac and Crooked I fans disappointed.

Now to everyones surprise, the song has finally surfaced. While it will still
not appear on the official soundtrack, the song is played over the end
credits of the movie itself, which is in theaters now. It appears that this
may be a promotional move on the part of the film makers, as many 2Pac and
Crooked I fans who have wanted to hear the track will hurry to the theaters
to see the movie and its credits.

It is expected that the song will leak to the Internet shortly, but if you can't
wait, go see the movie. Either way, there is no doubt that this movie will be
one of the few movies where a lot of people actually sit through all the credits.

Irv Gotti may have committed a federal crime by using the FBI letters
in Ja-Rule's latest video "The Reign," without permission.

The video features Patrick Swayze as an FBI agent and recreates the
FBI raid on Murder Inc.'s offices earlier this year.

While FBI officials aren't pleased with the video, they said that it
would have no bearing on the investigation into whether or not Murder
Inc. helped funnel drug proceeds for Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff.

Ja Rule Disses Eminem

Ja Rule has turned his attention from Slim Shady's newest signee to
Slim himself. On A Warrior's Words, the new mixtape by Murder Inc.'s
Black Child, Rule responds to Em's warning of "Ja, you'll get it too"
from the Benzino diss track "Go to Sleep."

What kind of world is this when a snitch gets praise?," Ja asks, talking
about 50 Cent. He later threatens Slim Shady and his family rapping "I'm
hunting ya blondie..." among other threats. "Em you know you fear me/
'Cause I'm clearly the rap game's Jimmy Hoffa.

Unlike the real Hoffa, Ja Rule has been keeping a high profile lately —
not only with his own self-promotion, but via 50 Cent's disses. A new 50
duet with Tupac Shakur called "The Realest Killas" recently hit the streets
and finds the Billboard chart's top gun attacking what he calls Ja's
obsession with being Tupac.

50 is also the target of some new salvos, but not only from the Murder
Inc. camp. Houston MC and Rap-a-Lot recording artist Z-Ro rhymes, "These
snitch fellas on 'How Ya Livin' '/ Dry snitchin' on BET, but got a
restraining order out against Murder I-N-C" on a track called "Snitch
N---as."

The song even starts off with the same sound of a coin dropping on a
table that commences 50's Get Rich or Die Tryin', but then Z-Ro says, "Run
and tell somebody it's your worst day," using the same cadence as 50 does
in the line "it's your birthday" on "In Da Club."

What has everybody buzzing about the cut is that along with Z-Ro, Scarface
and Bun B of UGK are also on the track, which will appear on the upcoming
Face album, Balls and My Word. People who have closely followed 50's
career remember that UGK appear on 50's Guess Who's Back CD via "As the
World Turns," and sources close to the G-Unit camp say that 50 and Face
have recently been in talks to collaborate on a song.

If it seems like the dis came out of nowhere, it's because it did; at least
on the part of Face and Bun. They do not mention Cent by name in either of
their verses for good reason — according to reps for both rappers, they did
not record the song with 50 in mind. Face's reps even claim that his lyrics
 are several years old.

"You hearing it from me," Z-Ro said Monday. "As far as Bun B and Scarface,
they was just doing a song in general about these snitches. We did the song
earlier this year, then when I found out some comments [50] made about
[Murder Inc.], I said, 'Let me go back in there and address this. I'mma
put my 50 cent in it.' I asked [Rap-a-Lot CEO] Lil' J, 'If you ain't got
no problem with this, I'm gonna ride on this cat.' J said, 'I ain't gonna
protect no snitches.' "

J Prince appears on the beginning of "Snitch N---as," saying, "Don't act
like you don't know who we talking about."

"We want it to cause a stir, we want to step on toes," Z-Ro said. "We wanted
the world to know to beware of these snitches."

As has been well publicized, Irv Gotti and Ja Rule have called 50 Cent an
informant and a snitch, alleging that the Southside Queens MC took a police
order of protection out against them after a fight in a studio a few years
back.

"They bend over backwards to try and disrespect me," 50 told MTV News
earlier this year. "They went and got a piece of paper out of the library ...
had a fake order of protection made, and mailed it to people. They did
everything in their power to try to see if they could destroy 50 Cent."

Balls and My Word hits stores on April 8 and features a few new tracks,
such as "Snitch N---as." It will contain mostly unreleased material that
Scarface made before going to Def Jam, according to Rap-a-Lot.

April 4, 2003

As of 3/31/2003 Snoop Dogg's "Paid Tha Cost To Be Tha Bo$$" was certified
platinum. This is good news because a platinum record coming out of the left
coast is a rare thing these days. Much deserved props to Snoop.

Word on the Street is Dr Dre has re-signed Eve to Aftermath. As you know
she was one of the 1st artists with Dre when he started the label in 96/7.
She's already working on her next Solo and whether or not it will come out
on Aftermath, Dre will be producing a grip of songs on it. Stay tuned for
more info, again this is NOT confirmed.

Snoop Gettin Sued

A Los Angeles man filed a lawsuit against rapper Snoop Dogg after the
rapper used his voice in a song dissing Death Row CEO Suge Knight. The
song, "Pimp Slapp'd," uses a one-minute answering machine message from
the man, who himself explained his support for Snoop, but not necessarily
a dislike for Knight. The man filed the suit under the name John Doe,
presumably due to safety concerns.

The man proclaims that that his message is intertwined into the song
where Snoop declares that Knight, his former boss, is a "bitch." He
alleged that he has already received "threats from unknown third parties"
after the album dropped and that his attempts to remove the skit were
ignored. In the suit, the man states that his inclusion on the song has
been misconstrued as a position against Knight. There have been no
financial details released to the civil suit.

2pac to be on New Spice 1 Album

The new Spice 1 album "Ridah" is finished recording and is the final mix
down of the album. One of the major hold ups now is a legal issue they have
with one of the songs intended to be released as a bonus track.

Spice 1 has been holding on to an unreleased song he made with 2Pac just
before he died. Spice never released this song because he never got a
chance to finish it. The song is about death and living for today because
you never know when you'll be gone. Spice 1 feels that the world now needs
to here this song. However, is having a real hard time getting this track
cleared.

50 Cent gets his Hands on Unreleased Pac vocals

On "In Da Club," 50 Cent rhymes about wanting the fans to love him
like "they love Pac," and pretty soon, everyone will get to hear a
dream pairing of the two headline magnets.

A yet-to-be-titled collaboration between Queens' king of the streets and
Tupac will be hitting the mixtape circuit in a couple of weeks, courtesy
of DJ Whoo Kid.

"We're still working on it, trying to make it a club banger," said Whoo
Kid, who was one of the first DJs to consistently feature 50 on his mixtapes
and has since been DJing shows for the G-Unit. "It's the old Pac, going crazy.
We're going to drop it when 50's album [Get Rich or Die Tryin'] is coming
out Feb.11, 2003.

Whoo Kid said on Thursday he got the unreleased Tupac vocals from Snoop
Dogg and Daz and decided that his friend 50 would be the best person to
rhyme with the icon.

The DJ was also behind last year's pairing of 50 and Notorious B.I.G.
on "The Realest," which infiltrated airwaves after getting love underground.
"It's the biggest illegal street hit ever," boasted Whoo Kid, who admitted
receiving the DAT of Biggie's vocals from a thief. "All the radio stations
are playing it. I know if Biggie was alive, he would do a song with 50.
People loved Biggie so much, now they love 50 just the same. [I knew] the
combination would make history."

Like "The Realest," Whoo Kid said that the 50 and Tupac song probably
won't be cleared to be on anybody's album — it will just be another
mixtape classic for collectors to scoop up.

"That's how crazy I am," the DJ laughed, sitting in a Los Angeles studio
working on a track for his upcoming album with Ludacris. "I just do street
viruses. Pac and 50 is gonna be another street virus.

2pac Hits up the Sundance Festival

'Tupac: Resurrection' To Be Previewed At Sundance

Like the title suggests, the upcoming release "Tupac: Resurrection"
begins after the rapper's death. The film tells the story of his life, but
unlike the slew of previous movies about Pac, the filmmakers let the microphone
king narrate his own story through interviews that were conducted with the
poetic rap prophet by various media outlets.

"What is so bad about that?" Pac rhetorically asks about becoming an angel,
after expressing that he always thought he would get shot and wanted to be
 an angel in his afterlife.

The documentary shows how Tupac's destiny was being written before he was
even born. Some of the forces that would shape the iconic MC's militant
characteristics are examined, as the movie delves into his mother Afeni
Shakur's history as a member of the Black Panthers and the organization's
struggles with the government. The Panthers' influence on Pac is evident,
as we later see the rapper at 17 giving his views on poverty in the black
community.

Though Tupac took on a leadership role at such a young age, he also loved
his acting roles during his formative years. Viewers will not only get to
see several exclusive pictures of Pac and his best friend Jada Pinkett as
they attended Baltimore's School of the Arts, but also snippets of an amateur
video where the two are, ironically, lip-synching to DJ Jazzy Jeff and the
Fresh Prince's "Parents Just Don't Understand."

As a professional musicmaker years later, Tupac struggled with fame.
"I'm 22," he says in the film, unabashed about expressing how he was sometimes
afraid of the "undeniable love" he was getting from fans at that time. It was
because of that adoration that he was shocked when gunmen riddled him with
bullets for the first time in 1994, during a robbery at the Hit Factory in
New York. He didn't think anybody in the black community would ever shoot him.

And while we all know the aftermath of the shooting, with him going to the
hospital and soon after being hauled off to jail for sexual assault, followed
by an infamous article in Vibe magazine that many say spurred on the Death Row
feud with Bad Boy, we've rarely seen or heard Pac while he was locked down.
Featured in the film is footage of a 1995 interview where Pac, with a head
full of hair, talked from behind the walls of Clinton Correctional Facility.

"Prison kills your spirit," he said. "There is no creativity."

But we all know Pac's spirit could never be vanquished. His creativity would
be reborn when he got bailed out of prison by Suge Knight and joined Death
Row Records (the actual handwritten record contract between Suge and Pac is
also shown in the movie). Upon his release from Clinton on bail, he began
to scribe songs and hit the studio incessantly, recording all 27 tracks for
his double LP, 1996's All Eyez on Me, in only two weeks.

And what was the inspiration that led Pac to feverishly pound out three
songs a day, leaving behind a catalog of unreleased music that is still
selling today? In the film, we hear him explain that he had a prophesy of his death.

MTV Films and AMARU Entertainment's "Tupac: Resurrection," directed by Lauren
Lazin, will be previewed at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22, and is
scheduled for theatrical release in the fall of 2003.

Suge will do atleast 30 days behind bars until the bullshit charges are
looked at by the parole board. That's another 30 days delay for Crooked
i,..... here's the full article:

Marion "Suge" Knight will be having Christmas dinner behind bars this
year. The head of gangsta rap label Tha Row was arrested Monday afternoon
for allegedly violating parole and is being held in Los Angeles County Jail.

Knight was picked up by officers from the California Department of Corrections
and investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
According to Fernando Rios, a representative for California's State Parole
Board, Knight was arrested for four violations:

1. Establishing or relocating to a residence other than the one registered
with his parole officer. One of the conditions of Knight's parole is that
he must register his residence with his parole officer. But according to
Rios, the parole board has information from other law enforcement agencies
that Knight had purchased and was residing in another unregistered home.
(yea thats a big violation)

2. Failing to clear a newly employed security guard or driver. Knight
is required to clear with his parole officer the hiring of any bodyguards
or personal drivers in order to prevent him from hiring someone with a
criminal background and giving them a position in which they could get a
license to carry a firearm.

3 & 4. Associating with a known gang member as well as associating with a
group of known gang members (two counts). When any reputed gang member is
released from prison, it is a common condition of parole to prohibit that
person from associating with other gang members. According to Rios, the
state parole office has photos and other documentation showing that Knight
had consorted a gang member named Tim McDonald as well as other gang members.

Though Knight's lawyer, David Z. Chesnoff, didn't know the specifics of the
violation charges, he said that if Knight was associated with any gang
members, it was strictly for reasons related to the music business.

"If these charges are true and Suge did associate with gang members," he
asked, "how could [the authorities] expect Suge to proceed with his work
in the music world without coming into contact with possible gang members?
He would have to lock himself in a closet."

Chesnoff also contends that he and Knight met with parole officers after
his release and that officers agreed Knight may be allowed leniency because
of the nature of his work. Rios denied the claim, insisting, "We would not
have agreed to that. And the evidence that we have shows that when Mr.
Knight was with these gang members, it was definitely not in the course
of business. He was at parties and in different locations."

Since Knight is being charged with parole violations, as opposed to regular
criminal charges, he is not allowed bail and had not been allowed to speak
Chesnoff as of Tuesday morning. Knight will be incarcerated until he goes
before the California Board of Prison Terms, the state's parole authority,
which may not happen for 30 to 40 days. At that time, the board will either
revoke Knight's parole or dismiss the charges.

According to Chesnoff, since Knight's release in August 2001 he has done
nothing but try to get his life back in order and work on his music company.

Knight received probation in 1992 for weapons and assault charges; he was
found guilty of violating that probation in 1996 when security cameras at a
Las Vegas casino captured him participating in a beating just hours before
Tupac Shakur was murdered. Last month sheriff's deputies raided Knight's
business and homes in connection with a murder investigation.

Daz at Aftermath...

Daz Dillinger has a new album coming out in the near future that is
titled, "The Black Phantom", and we all know Daz plans to drop dis on a
major label to have distributed well but over at the official DPG Recordz
forum an advert was stumbled across by a member and revealed, it has now
been pulled but some people grabbed the cover before it was removed. The
artwork states the album is coming on "Shady Records" which as you know is
Eminem's label, a subsiduary of Dr. Dre's, Aftermath Entertainment. Although
there is no offical word on where Daz has signed so until then this is just
a rumour originating from the official site's forum.

Snoop and Jay Z

Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z plan on making a joint album which would be the
first West meets East collaboration album ever, and could well help
in completely squashing the much-publicised East/West coast beef for
good, especially as both are considered to be the "kings" of their
respective coasts. Snoop is reported to have recently told MTV that the
two camps still hadn't "nailed anything in stone," but he's very hyped
about the whole idea.

Dre's new album Detox Delayed

Dr. Dre has set his final album "Detox" to da side to work on Ice Cube's
Aftermath debut so far a few songs n beats are finished da album should
drop by Summer 2003 while Detox will drop Fall 2003

Jay-z on Better Dayz???

Clip juss informed me that jay-z was on Hot 97 sayin that he was on
the new 2pac album..... and apparanetly its confirmed by MTV which had
this posted:

Ironically, the biggest problem that could have come when trying to put
out his " '03 Bonnie & Clyde" turned out not to be a dilemma at all.
Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, and Suge Knight were willing to clear the
sample for Jay.

"It was nothing personal, we never met," Jay said of the disses Pac threw
at him on record before his passing. "You know, he and Big went through
their thing. I was Big's man, that was the extent of our big beef. Whatever
[animosity] we had died with him.

"Suge was real cool," Jay continued about getting the sample cleared. "He
was like, 'We are above that bull or whatever, I'm cool with it.' Tupac's
mom and Ms. Wallace gave me an award one time on MTV, [and Afeni Shakur]
said to me, 'When I hugged you onstage, whatever my son had [with you] was
over.' I was like, 'It was over for me before that.' Every show I did there
was a moment I took to say, 'Put your two up for Tupac, put your lighter up
for Big.' She asked me to be on [Tupac's] next album and this is probably
an album that has more stuff on there about me and I was like, 'Cool.' Like
I said, he's not here to repair our relationship."

Irv Gotti Rips Another Makaveli Beat

"Toss it up" is the latest victim of Irv Gotti's jack-move rampage, used
for Fat Joes new album. The funny thing is this isn't the first controversy
wit the "Toss it up" beat. Back in '96 Dre had left death row and was workin
with other artists includin Blackstreet. So Blackstreet used the original
"Toss it up" beat before Makaveli dropped, so they had to remix the Toss it
up beat and 2pac dissed Teddy Riley (of blackstreet) sayin "i'm tired of
suckaz rockin beats that dont' belong to em".... well its been done again
pac. When will this shit stop??

Snoop and the NBA

Not exactly the NBA.... but NBA Live 2003. While most would find it
nearly impossible to match rhymes with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Busta
Rhymes, with only a few hours of practice even the most tongue-tied kid can
take them to school on the basketball court.

The rappers, along with DJ Clue, Fabolous and producer Just Blaze, among
others, appear as hidden characters in "NBA Live 2003," the latest in EA
Sports' basketball series, due October 29, according to the music supervisor
for the game.

Not only do the hip-hop artists show face on court, their music surfaces on
the soundtrack portion of the game. Seven songs, along with a skit by music
supervisor 3H, make up a companion disc that will be included in the game's
package. While the mixes of many tracks are exclusive to the game, other versions
of the songs may appear on the respective artists' forthcoming albums. The
original version of "Ballin' Boy" by No Good already appears on the group's
Game Day, PBB, released September 10.

Just Blaze, who has produced tracks for Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes and Nelly, scored
all the instrumental music used in the game.

EA Sports, the makers of "NBA Live 2003" are also working on the sequel to
last year's "NBA Street," a three-on-three playground game that promises
to be even heavier on the hip-hop.

Track list for "NBA Live 2003," according to the game's music supervisor:

3H - (skit)
Fabolous - "It's in the Game (NBA Livestyle Mix)"
Snoop Dogg - "Get Live (NBA Livestyle Mix)"
Joe Budden - "Drop Drop (NBA Livestyle Mix)"
Flipmode Squad f/ Busta Rhymes - "Here We Go (NBA Livestyle Mix)"
Just Blaze w/ Freeway, Memphis Bleek - "Let's Go"
Hot Karl - "Blao (NBA Livestyle Mix)"
No Good - "Ballin' Boy (NBA Livestyle Mix)"

More on Kurupts next Movie

A high-profile rap group is murdered in a nightclub owned by Master P. No,
the N'awlins baller isn't involved in a legal wrangle. It's the rapper's role
in an upcoming film tentatively titled "Hollywood Homicide."

P plays an L.A. club impresario whose establishment is the setting of the
slaying, according to a source close to the project. Outkast's Dre (Andre Benjamin)
and Tha Row rapper Kurupt — who plays the only witness to the murder — also
appear in the action comedy, which stars Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett as the
cops investigating the incident. "Hollywood Homicide" was written and is being
directed by Ron Shelton, who performed the same duties for 1996's "Tin Cup" and 1988's "Bull Durham."

Other artists slated to appear in the film include Master P posse the 504
Boyz (Silkk the Shocker, Magic, Krazy, Choppa and T Bo), whose new album
Ballers is expected to drop in December; Cleveland newcomers 206; and classic
R&B singer Gladys Knight, who plays a former rock star and mother to Kurupt's
character.

The flick is in its fifth week of filming with approximately nine weeks
remaining, the source said. It's expected to hit theaters in August.

2pac's murder solved

This just in: The Notorious B.I.G. has been fingered in the murder
of Tupac Shakur. That not so earth-shattering revelation comes courtesy
of Friday's Los Angeles Times, which spent two years investigating the
slaying.

Of course, the theory that Biggie, aka Christopher Wallace, might have had
something to do with Tupac's murder is far from novel. Within moments of the
Las Vegas drive-by that ultimately claimed Shakur's life in September 1996,
the prevalent hypothesis was that the West Coast rapper's archrivals from the
East Coast played a role.

The idea went something like this: Tupac represented the major California rap
faction, Death Row Records, and Biggie was the biggest star in Sean "Puffy"
Combs' Bad Boy empire, the key New York hip-hop house. Tupac and Biggie
frequently dissed each other lyrically and in interviews, but most wrote it
off as typical rap posturing. Somewhere along the line, their boastful machismo
crossed the line into bloodshed.

Such speculation seemed even more valid when Biggie himself was gunned down in
Los Angeles in March 1997. Both the Tupac and Biggie murders remain unsolved.

The Times again rounded up the usual suspects. Orlando Anderson, a card-carrying
member of the Crips, is once again said to be the trigger man. (Police
investigated the Anderson angle but never declared him a formal suspect; he was
later slain in an unrelated shooting.)

Anderson had been roughed up by Shakur's posse in Vegas' MGM Grand Hotel
following a Mike Tyson fight there. The beat-down was reportedly in retaliation
for an earlier incident, in which one of Tupac's bodyguards (a group made up
primarily of Crips-hating Bloods gangbangers) was mugged by Anderson and his
cohorts.

To be fair, the newspaper adds some new wrinkles to the hoary story, claiming
it was Biggie who provided the murder weapon--a .40-caliber Glock pistol-- and
a $1 million bounty on Shakur. Biggie was in Vegas at the time of the murder,
met with Anderson and agreed to underwrite the hit, according to the Times.

Hours later, a Caddy reportedly carrying Anderson and his fellow Crips, pulled
up alongside the BMW driven by Death Row rap mogul Suge Knight. Tupac was in
the passenger seat. The assailants opened up on the Beamer and sped away.

Six days later, on September 13, Shakur was dead, and, according to the Times,
Wallace paid his first $50,000 installment to Anderson's Crips crew.

Of course, with the trio of principals dead, there's no way to corroborate the
Times story. Biggie was killed on March 9, 1997 as he sat in his car following
a post-party for the Soul Train Music Awards. (At the time, it was reported
that L.A. police were trying to link Knight to the crime, suggesting he might
have ordered the hit on Biggie to avenge Tupac's death.) Anderson, meanwhile, was
shot dead in May 1998 in a gang clash.

However, the Times also asserts that three other, unidentified Crips who
allegedly accompanied Anderson in the Tupac drive-by still live in the L.A. area
and have never been questioned by authorities.

Snoop Disses Suge, Death Row and Xzibit

Oh no, Big Snoop Dogg up in the heazy. Snoop goes after Suge Knight and
his label Tha Row as well as Xzibit and Kurupt on the song "Pimp Slap" which
is featured on a DJ Kay Slay mixed tape.

Daz signs with Snoop

After rumors of Daz signing with Jay-Z, he and his DPG Records force
have joined Snoop and Doggystyle Records. Daz is now the reported vice
president of the label. He will be reuiniting with Snoop, Tha Eastsidaz,
Soopafly, Rage, Bad Azz, E. White, and all the other acts down with Big
Snoop Dogg.

This move is a mimickery of the Kurupt/Row situation. Whatever the case,
it should be good for Snoop and Daz both. I'll get back to you on what Daz
plans to do with his DPG Recordz' roster and release time-table.

When's the Next 2pac Album Dropping?

There ain't no official word, but this info comes from makaveli.com, take it
for whut its worth "it's going to be a September release (bet your last dollar
that will fall between the 6th and the 13th.) I've confirmed this will be the
LAST Makaveli album from Tha Row. The rest will not be released or will be
released later as a box set (no plans)and hopefully if it does drop it won't
be fuckd up like UTEOT was.... since its taken em alot longer to drop this
album, hopefully that means it won't be as rushed.

Camron Bites 2pac Again

After rippin pac's classic "ambitionz az a ridah" sample.... Mr. killa cam
decided to use pac's words to begin his dis against Nas.... straight from
"Against all Odds": "this lil nigga named Nas think he live like me". I ain't
really mad at that but Roc-a-fella done borrowed more 2pac lines than Tha
Realest so its bout time they bow down and recognize who the greatest is...
cause at the end of the day who's influencd more rappers accross the globe???

Too Short making noise like it's 1990 all over!

With Khia bring indie to the charts with, "My Back, My Neck"...Hip Hop
has created a repeat of the TLC/702 vs. Sporty Theivz remake war of 1998.
Beloved Bay Area veteran Too Short has redone the song as "My Dick, My Sack"
with his guys version. Although he released it less than two weeks ago, it's
catching nationwide radio play, and by Tuesday we'll know if Short Dogg will get
his first chart spot in over 5 years. I'd like to recognize Jive Records for
putting out the single too. It's not on any album, it's strictly promo. This
trend reminds me of the true quality Hip Hop days back in the mid 90's

Breaking News: NINA aka Left-Eye DEAD!!!!

Just in..... NINA who recently signed to Tha Row has died from a car
crash. It was rumored that Nina left Tha Row in the past few weeks due to
a disagreement, however no official word was released. R.I.P. Lisa "left eye"
Lopes. Here is the official report:

Member of R&B Trio Killed in Honduras Car Cra

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, a controversial member of
chart-topping American R&B trio TLC, was killed in a car crash in Honduras on
Thursday, a spokeswoman for her record label said.

No other details were supplied by Laura Swanson, a representative of Arista
Records in New York.

The lineup of TLC, whose hit songs included "No Scrubs" and "Waterfalls," was
rounded out by Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins.

Lopes, who was in her early 30s, made the headlines in 1994 after she was
arrested for burning down the house of then-boyfriend, former Atlanta Falcons
wide receiver Andre Rison.

TLC's most recent album, 1999's "FanMail" topped the U.S. pop album charts
for five weeks, and won the Grammy for best R&B album the following year.

Snoop Dogg and Doggystyle Records are Set To Drop The Bomb

Snoop is set to drop his first Doggystyle/MCA release this July 30th.
The album will be called Welcome 2 Tha House Volume 1. The album will feature
Bigg Snoop Dogg (Snoop's MCA Name), Soopafly, Latoiya Williams, Mr. Kane (Kokane),
and E-White, Snoop's new protege. These 5 artists make up the group Doggystyle
All-Stars. Thier first single will by Latoiya's R&B song Fallen Star. Her video
is set to start taping on May 1st. Kokane's song Locs At Night and the song Doh
Doh will be hitting mix tapes soon around the country. Besides that, expect a
Doggystyle VHS and DVD to release called Welcome To Tha House.

If you think that's big news, Snoop is set to drop his 6th solo album Bigg Snoop
Dogg: Paid The Cost To Be The Boss in September. As mentioned before, expect
production from Hi-Tek, Just Blaze, Fredwreck, Battle Cat, the Neptunes, and DJ
Scratch. However, a new face will also be making a mark on this album. Snoop
has signed a new producer to his squad named Qauzedelic.

If you think Snoop's independent films are through, think again. Tha Dogg
keeps bringing the pain with his new Doggfather Entertainment film Boss 'N Up.
In the film Snoop plays a hustla named Corde who moves to Miami to learn the
role of a real pimp.

If you think that's it think one more time. Tha Eastsidaz and Doggy's Angels
(who have not broken up) are both in the studio working on new group projects.

Nate Dogg Arrested On Drug Charges

Well it's not good, but Nate Dogg, also known as Nate Hale was arrested in
Arizona for Drug Possession, and possession of a stolen firearm. Nate was
released on Sunday after the $3,500 bail was paid. Nate's tour bus was pulled
over for speeding and when the police entered the bus, they could smell burnt
Marijuana. Gladly nothing serious resulted out of this.

Childhood pal of Suge Knight Gunned Down

Yesterday, another person of Tha Row camp was killed. Alton McDonald,
a childhood acquaintance and employee of Suge Knight, was gunned down at
a Compton Shell gas station. McDonald died shortly upon arriving to St.
Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles. We send our sympathies out to Suge
and McDonald's family.

McDonald was rumored to be one of the people involved in the beating of
Orlando Anderson, on the night Tupac Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas.
McDonald has worked with Death Row and Wrightway Security since the mid-90's,
and was driving a Death Row owned car at the time. The suspects of the
drive-by shooting were seen leaving the Shell in a late model truck.

For those who don't know, this is nothing new. Suge Knight lost his
childhood friend Jake Robles to similiar circumstances in 1995. While
that trial is underway, I would anticipate reprocussions from this action.
It may or may not have been related to the Shakur murder, and the Crip/Blood
conflict that left over a dozen dead in 1996-1997, including lead suspect
Orlando Anderson.

While others pretend to, Death Row proves that they're true to life.
While the authenticity of the culture is rare, I really wish that people
would kill this gang, murder shit. We've lost too many powerful minds...
and it's become a genocide to young intelligent minority males.

Dr Dre Info on New Album

Dr.Dre said to MTV that his new joint "Detox" will drop around summer 2003.
Amazingly he also said that the album will be a hip-hop musical, with a story
-line like a movie.

"I'm not talking about lowriders and blunts and all that anymore. I mean,
that's played. As a matter of fact, I'm tired of hearing other people talk
about it, to tell you the truth. I had to come up with something different
but still keep it hardcore, so what I decided to do was make my album one
story about one person and just do the record through a character's eyes.
And everybody that appears on my album is going to be a character, so it's
basically going to be a hip-hop musical. Detox's story line will chronicle
the life of a hit man, describing what he goes through and how he lives his
life, about how his family makes a living. I've been blueprinting, getting
ideas together for the past six months or so, just trying to figure out which
direction I want to take and how I'm gonna present the project. Just gathering
sounds and what have you. I want this one to be really over the top. It's
probably going to take me like a year to get it all the way together."

Dre expects to start on Detox this summer, after he finished working
with Eminem, Rakim, Shaunta & Truth Hurts. He also added that Detox will
be out around summer 2003, and that he would put acting on hold: "I had
fun doing it, but acting ain't really my thing. I am more of a production/
director type. I would rather be behind the scenes and organizing and putting
things together like that."

Too Short With Another Album

Too Short is workin on another album. Shortdog is now working on his 14th
album. Short plans to have all sorts of cats ranging from DPG to fellow
Oaklander Richie Rich throwing down on his untitled LP. Its good to see him
puttin it down with another album.

Kurupt Shows Dark Side

All right yall this really came out different than any of us ever
expected. As I'm typing this, Kurupt, Crooked I & Suge Knight are guests on
the Angie Martinez show on Hot 97 in New York. This was the first statement
we ever heard from Kurupt - he said the deal with Death Row is official and he's
the newest recording artist for the label. Daz said that if Kurupt does sign
he will no longer be Dogg Pound affiliated. Daz will no longer work with
him. Neither will Snoop, Bad Azz, Tray Dee, Goldie Loc, Fredwreck, and any
other artist/producer affiliated with the Dogg Pound. Now thats WOAH! Ill keep
you updated.

Doggys Angels Official

Doggy Angels have official broke up. The reason is because they could not
get along with eachother and they didnt really have the success they expected.
But expect to hear from them again, all three members are individualy workin on
solo projects.

Jan.7, 2002

Here is some information on Kurupt's new upcoming project G-TV, his new
straight to DVD/VHS film on his current situation. Just like Tha Liks and
Xzibit, Kurupt is going to bring us a DVD with footage of the Puff Puff Pass
Tour, Parties and etc. This will be the third big release from Fortress
Entertainment, who brought us behind the scenes DVD's from Tha Liks and Xzibit.
Kurupt's new DVD is set for a release date of Febuary 19th and should be just
as informative as the other releases. Other DVD's to look out for come from DJ
Quik, WC and the Outlawz. Could Snoop Be Next? Probably most likely. He has had
a video for all his major tours, Smokefest, Smokefest II and the Up In Smoke Tour.
At his official site, they kept us all waiting for the G-Files. Could this be
his next DVD? Who knows, but another behind the scenes look would be cool.

Puff Puff Pass Tour To Continue in Europe

Snoop Dogg, who was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia last week in Ohio, is headed to Europe for
the second leg of his Puff Puff Pass tour. The tour also includes Kurupt, Tha
Liks, Tha Eastsidaz, Doggy's Angels, and Butch Cassidy, and will kick off in
Stockholm on November 1 and end in Rotterdam on November 21. Other scheduled
European stops include Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, London, Dublin, and Amsterdam.
We'll post all the dates as soon as they arrive.

In related news, reports have surfaced indicating that Snoop Dogg has signed
with MCA Records. In addition to Snoop Dogg's services as a recording artist,
his Doggy Style imprint, which had been distributed by TVT Records, will now
be distributed by MCA, which will affect Doggy Style signees Tha Eastsidaz
and
Doggy's Angels.

Dr. Dre Gets Apologies From Two Cities

Dr. Dre got what he wanted from the cities of Detroit and Auburn Hills, Michigan
— public apologies for infringing on his First Amendment rights at two concerts
he gave last summer.

Dre's lawyers announced Wednesday (October 24) that the rapper had reached
out-of-court settlements with both cities. Dre claimed police blocked him from
showing videos during a July 6, 2000, stop at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena because
the clips featured topless women and gun violence. A spokesperson for the Detroit
mayor's office countered at the time that the rapper voluntarily pulled the video
after police told his staff they would be ticketed if the clips were shown.

On July 7, Dre obtained a court order preventing the Detroit suburb of Auburn
Hills from shutting down the videos when he played at the Palace of Auburn Hills
that evening. Despite the court order, the city still issued the rapper a
misdemeanor obscenity citation. It was later dismissed, according to Dre's lawyer,
Howard King.

In addition to issuing formal apologies, the settlement required both cities to
provide First Amendment sensitivity training to their police forces, King said.

The Wash - Dre & Snoop reunite on Screen and on Album

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg team up for the first time onscreen in "The Wash,"
scheduled for November release. According to Dre, though, if the two had
had enough time, they would have parlayed the movie's soundtrack album
into their first full-length LP together.

"Me and Snoop originally wanted to make the soundtrack album to this
movie our reunion CD," Dre explained during a May interview on the Los
Angeles set of "The Wash." "But an October release slot came up, so we didn't
have enough time to put that in place. We're going to try to do as many songs
as possible for the soundtrack album and get other people to submit tracks."

The scheduled mid-October releases of both movie and album have been pushed
back, however. "The Wash" gets its chance to clean up at the box office
November 14, while the soundtrack album arrives November 6.

As Dre continues to tweak the album's lineup, a spokesperson for the
project (a joint release by Dre's Aftermath label and Snoop's Doggstyle
Records) confirmed that he and Snoop would be heard together on at least
two tracks. Dre, whose Aftermath label will release the disc, also performs
with Bilal, Xzibit and newcomer Knoc-Turnal, who sings with Dre on the
album's first single, "Bad Intentions."

Busta Rhymes and Bubba Sparxxx have solo cuts on the album, as does singer
Truth Hurts. "Her album is just about done," Dre said of his latest protégé.
"We recorded 40 songs with her." Beside Dre, Mel Man, Rick Rock and Hi-Tek
check in behind the board.

Although Dre hopes to soon begin work on Detox, his next solo album, he
might push the start date back if he gets another Hollywood gig (he also
has a part in the upcoming Denzel Washington drama, "Training Day").

"It makes it real easy if you know the person you're acting with," Dre said
about working with his co-star, Snoop. "I've done some acting before, and
I kinda sucked at it. But I think I'm catching the knack. I think I have a
talent for this."

Death Row Records plan to release Snoop Doggs Greatest Hits album on
Oct.23, 2001. The cd will also have some unreleased tracks from the death
row days. Also check out the new video "Welcome to Death Row". The video
is good.

Nate Dogg Pleads Guilty To Gun Possession, Gets Probation

Rapper also fined $1,000 in case that stems from alleged kidnapping,
arson incident last year.

Nate Dogg pleaded guilty to possession of an unmarked gun on Tuesday
in Norwalk, California, avoiding jail time in a case that began when
he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and set her mom's car on fire.

In sentencing the rapper, Norwalk Superior Court Judge Michael Cowell
placed him on three years' probation and ordered him to pay a $1,000
fine, according to Deputy District Attorney Marc Burnley. Cowell also
ruled that the firearm be destroyed.

Death Row will release Snoop Dogg's Greatest Hits on Oct.23

You can also order the Soopafly album from cdnow

Aug.4,2001

The latest news is that Mark Morrison is in the works with a
signing to Death Row Records. You may know him from his hit single "return
of the mack"... he also was featured on Daz's "RAW" album, which was supposed
to drop on Death Row Records. If this deal DOES indeed work out, it will be
a good acquisition by tha row, as they always seem to have a top quality RnB
roster. Stay tuned for more details.

Above The Law will release “Diary of a Drug Dealer”, the follow-up
to Forever Rich Thugs in October, After the Crooked I record which is
almost ready. Hutch is in charge of production at Tha Row right now as
Dre was back in tha day. He & Outlawz ‘EDI’ were the musical supervisors
on 2Pac’s latest one Until the End of Time. Hutch basically learned from
Dre during the early years, Which is why output on Dog Pound 2002 & Dead
Man Walking is pure Death Row Flavor (something Chronic 2000 wasn’t).

Looks like P-Diddy had a bit of a run in the other night when he came
face to face with 2Pac's old homies, The Outlawz. The confrontation went
down this past Wednesday during rehearsals for MTV's 20th Anniversary
celebration. P-Diddy and a number of other artists were rehearsing when
The Outlawz snuck into the Hammerstein Ballroom. According to the NY Post,
they claimed to be guests of Naughty By Nature who were also on the set.
The Outlawz began heckling P-Diddy and being disruptive. Finally one of
the members rushed the stage and snatched a microphone. P-Diddy refused to
back down and grabbed the mic back and suddenly it was on. Security eventually
removed the Outlawz from the venue. What a shame this had to happen. Folks
may recall that last year during The Source Awards, one of the early
confrontations involved one of The Outlawz spitting in the face of P-Diddy's
protege Shyne. have no idea what it's going to take to finally resolve these
disputes, but hopefully something happens soon because this is ridiculous.
Speaking of P-Diddy is it me or his homeboy everywhere? He was on the TV show
Millionaire the other night. He was on Good Morning America today.

DPG RECORDZ MAKIN MOVES: SOOPAFLY DROPPIN ALBUM IN 2 WEEKS & DAZ
BLOWS IT UP
I didnt trust my eyez when I read it but its true. This is So much news
at one time, but so dope. I hit the official DPG Records website and it
seems that they finally makin moves. The new Soopafly record is finally
gonna drop, and not on Doggystyle Records like Snoop said, its gonna be
released on DPG Recordz. This looks so fat, the release date is June 17th!
Yeah thats right, thats in 2 weeks! The album features Big Snoop Dogg, Daz
Dilli, Kurupt Young Gotti, Bad Azz, Tray Deee, Crooked I, Richie Rich, Gonzoe,
Xzibit, and.....Lil' C-Style!!! Yes, I couldnt believe it but it seems that
they got back together and they tight again! The album will be called 'Dat
Whoopty Whoop' and the cover is on your right. This album could be one of the
dopest records this year along with Space Boogie. Daz is the executive producer
on Soopaflys new one and I suppose that Soopafly himself produced some tracks
as well.

Hold tight, now comes the big thing: Daz is speakin on Death Row! I believe
Daz himself wrote it and dissed Tha Row sooo baaad. This is what you can
read on the DPG Site:

".....This site is under construction, but I can't have it up with out saying
a word or three to ya'll, about them punk mutha fucas. Soon, you'll see a DR
Killa page up for all of ya'll to view, so ya'll can know about them bitch ass
niggas some of ya'll listen too. Talkin shit all on TV, at the same time, them
same niggas is snitchin and hangin with the POLICE. Man, I aint givin them
punk mutha fucas no props. Yea, ya'll know who they is, they them bitch ass
niggas who claim they the *O#. So all my DPG lovin nigga's and bitch's out
their, ya'll hang around for a couple we gone have some flicks, video's and
gangsta shit for ya'll, right here!"

Whoa Daz speaks loud, now this shit could end up very bad. Its obvious
that Daz & Death Row got major beef together. He said tha Death Row are hangin
with the Police and since Snoop said that Suge paid some Police Officers to kill
Pac this shit starts to make sense yall. They got a 'DPG Records Catalog' up
on the site with some of their future releases. They got an upcoming Lil' C-Style
record comin out, Tha Cryptz are comin out, they gonna release an album of a
group called Long Beach - Tha Gang which consists of Big C Style, Lil Flossy
and Daz himself. Lil Flossy gonna drop a solo album and Daz gonna drop a Best
of 1992-2002 album as well as his 3rd solo album called 'This Is The Life I
Lead' and of course the new DPG album 'Gangsta Shit' along with the movie.
However, DPG Recordz is makin moves and got a lot of thingz comin out in the
future, includin movies, books and soundtracks. Peep the official DPG Recordz
wesite for all the info.

June 2, 2001

Daz and Showcase Magazine sat down together and talked about
lots of things. The interview is quite interesting and they talkin
bout upcoming projects from the DPG, on Snoop Dogg, on Jay- Z & more.
Below is a part of it, thanx to LocoteG for the text. Its up in the June
issue of Showcase Magazine. Yesterday we reported on the Jayo interview
from Showcase, you can get it in the same issue. Peep:

Daz on going independent:

"Noone was tryna give me what I was worth. Nobody would give me
a deal nobody would fukk with me. I left LA with 300$ and a half
OZ, hit the 5 freeway, did a couple verses with them ballin ass cats
in the bay, came up on like 20-30,000 $ pressed it up. then I hooked up
with JT the bigga and he was teachin me the game and we was gettin looted
up. I was like shit this is it rite here. Then i started with RAW then we
did the daz/jt album the 2 we got out and then I had got with Kurupt and we
was all wit it we startin small and makin it big just to show these major
labels we could move it too. All these labels they wanna knock on the door but
aint givin me what im gettin 10$ a unit im gettin all of it. I known jt for
years. i came out there i had just gotten off death row and lived up in fillmore
for like 5-6 months. we did the album (LB to fillmore) and dude came thru and
looted us for like 20,000 units. so we hooked up and continued to do more
shit...."

Daz on comin as DPG instead of Dogg Pound:

"cause thats in the death row days, we gonna come somethin new. we left
that dogg pound shit, they can have that shit. they got a couple Dogg
Pound records they gonna come out with. Its like outdated though. Then he
talks about how he was the last original Death Row inmate to stay around and
how he got "all mine" before leaving the Row and how hes starting DPG America
to blow up like Local Independent acts starting in Texas.

Daz about upcoming projects:

"its this rock group mean peace, its that Limp Bizkit type stuff. im doin
the 1st single with them called "We Gon' Ride". Imma put there shit all over
mtv and get some of that money too. I got clothing and all that other shit
and i got chain stores opening up. We droppin Kurupts shit next. Its called
Space Boogie: Smoke Odyssey. We got Limp bizkit, Jon b, me, Snoop. Just a
whole buncha cats on there."

Daz on him and Snoop:
"it wasnt really nothin goin on, its just the fact that we was growin up.
we hang out, we just dont do music right now cuz its business. We're workin
on a DPGC album though. Thats me Kurupt, Nate, Snoop, all the people on Dogghouse
and all my people it took so long 4 another Dogg Pound album . We had to get
our business straight. I didnt want to do no more Records on Death Row cuz
they aint rite, naw mean? fuckin with the devil will get u burnt. we got our
own shit now, everybodys off the label we can do whatever the fukk we wanna do.."

Daz on hookin up with Jay Z:

"it was like a gift from god man. It was like a real tough time for me
and hova allways seems to come just like he did for UGK. I gotta call Jay.
"Jay z wanna do a song with u". We went and did the song and we just kept
the relationship, I got the whole shit on tape so im sellin tapes of it
independently it will be a Daz Record on DPG/Roc a Fella cuz we both independent.
He gonna come with the best from the east and imma come with the best from the
west and put it together on one album. We gonna get this money. Imma have the
tightest muthafukin beats in the world on that muthafucka. Imma also doin an
album with Luke called 'Work 4 that Money' and I gotta movie comin with it too
(about a stripper). I gotta whole bunch of shit. I got that one with S noop and
them and i know i got some extra money in the future when we do this dr dre,
snoop dogg, and the dogg pound and everybody else album. Thats in the future
when everybody get over they little struggles and doin they thing. I just know
that one day imma get that money"

Death Row Gives Mad Props To Jayo Felony

Apparently Suge Knight is digging Jayo Felony's brash style.
On the Death Row Records Web site, Jayo is given an open invitation to
join them.

The site reads:

Wanted
Jay-O Felony
To become a Deathrow inmate!
For showing Bitch-a-- Snoop that it
takes more than a couple of rent-a-Crips
to be a gangsta!

A source close to Jayo confirmed that the rapper has been in discussions
with Suge, but Death Row publicist Jonathan Wolfson said he's unaware
of any negotiations that would bring Jayo to the label.

However, Jayo will be featured dissing Snoop Dogg on the label's July 31
release of Tha Dogg Pound 2002, Wolfson said. The album is a collection of
songs that Dogg Pound members Daz and Kurupt recorded while still with
Death Row.

"I don't know nothin' about that," Daz said. "More power to them. I'm 'a
get paid off it. I got a deal when I left that I walked with all [my masters].
They could put it out, but I still get all mine. I want to hear what he got."

Daz and Kurupt, who were legally obligated to change their name to the
D.P.G. when they left Death Row, released Dillinger & Young Gotti on May 1.
Daz, who is in the final stages of his own contract negotiations with
Roc-a-Fella Records, said he isn't worried about the old album competing
with the new one.

"[Death Row putting out an album will] probably make both of them sell.
Everybody already knows what Death Row does because of what happened with
Snoop. I'm just gonna ride off their promotion. [Suge's] probably gonna put
out a bunch of remixes. He ain't got nothing else. If a bum has a piece of
something in the trash, he's gonna make it last. He messed up and lost a
good thing. But for now we got this new D.P.G. album out there."

Wolfson said that on Tuesday Death Row will release the long-talked-about
reissues of its entire catalog, which includes Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle,
Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Tupac Shakur's Makaveli and Tha Dogg Pound's debut,
Dogg Food. The label also plans to put out a Tupac double CD of unreleased
songs later this year, he said.

Lopez Request to Block Tape Denied

The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Superior Court judge refused Friday
to issue a temporary restraining order barring rap mogul
Marion ``Suge'' Knight from marketing a purported sex videotape
of singer-actress Jennifer Lopez.

Knight's lawyer said his client doesn't have a sex videotape
of Lopez, however, but that one of his companies is producing
a video on the singer-actress titled, ``J-Lo Uncut: The Real Story.''

Lopez sued Knight and his Death Row Records for invasion of privacy
after the Star tabloid reported this week that Knight was planning to
market a videotape titled ``Jennifer Lopez: Da Real Story.''

Knight ``does not possess a so-called `sex tape' involving Ms. Lopez
and an ex-boyfriend,'' the rap mogul's attorney, Jeffrey Lowy, said in
a letter to Lopez' lawyer, Stanton L. Stein.

In her lawsuit, Lopez said she is unaware that such a video exists but
that if it does she wants the sale of it blocked.

``If the tape is, in fact, publicly displayed and disseminated, plaintiff
will suffer greatly in her occupation,'' the lawsuit states.

A call placed to Stein's office after business hours Friday was not
immediately returned.

Knight was released from a California prison last month after serving
half of a nine-year term for violating probation on assault charges.

Suge Does It Again

If the rumors are true, Jennifer Lopez is on track to beat
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in appearing in one of the highest
grossing, underground X-rated films in history. Rumors have been
surfacing that there is a tape circulating of Jennifer Lopez having
sex with an ex-boyfriend during her days as a fly girl on the hit
TV show, "In Living Color." The tape is said to have been bought by
longtime Sean "Puffy" Combs (Lopez' former flame) rival, Death Row
CEO Marion "Suge" Knight, who is expected to be released from a halfway
jail house this summer. Knight's publicist, Jonathon Wolfson of Brown
Wolf Public Relations, confirmed to Allstar that there is indeed a
tape entitled J. Lo Uncut: Tha Real Story, which Suge Knight Films
is planning to release in mid-summer. However, Wolfson said he "does
not know the content of the film because it is still in the editing
stages." Lopez' publicist, Alan Neirob at Rogers & Cowan, declined to
comment.

Murder Was The Case DVD, Dr. Dre Hooks Up Song For McCartney

For those of you who don't know, Death row signed a distribution
deal a while ago, so all those classic records you remember are
starting to pop around your town again. Well besides the records
they are also re-distributing the Deathrow movies as well. One of
those movies is Snoop's first acting project, Murder Was The Case.
The movie has been out of production for four years, but this tuesday
the 15th Deathrow will release it again on DVD. Besides the movie,
the DVD will also feature music videos for the songs "Midnight Love"
and "Head Doctor" and live performances of Snoop at Soul Train, American
Music Awards, and a performance from one of his Saturday Night Live
appearances. If you haven't seen it or want to buy it, it will be out
this Tuesday.

Dr. Dre is at it again. He has been making music for everyone
lately and he has done it again. He made a song for former Beatle,
Paul McCartney. The song will appear on a tribute album that McCartney
is putting out for his wife, Linda who died of cancer two years ago.
Madonna and Britney Spears are other artists to look out for on
this album. Check That out as well.

April 24, 2001

Jay Z was recently on Power 99 (Philly radio Station) and told
their listeners that Daz Dillinger has produced 7 tracks for him
and that 5 will appear on his new album coming out this summer.

compilation thats highly anticipated by DPG & westcoast fans has been
delayed 2 weeks. It was suppsoed to drop today, April 24th, but its
now reported to drop May 8th. However, most likely it will be pushed
back again seeing that the DPG album is dropping May 1st.

2pac's Until the End Of Time cd sold over 110,000 copies last week
and most likely will be certified platimun next week.

Suge Knight has been released from prison but will still have to
serve 60 to 90 days in a half-way house or on a work release program.

April 12, 2001

Daz Dillinger lets the dogs out on an upcoming album
that will reunite him with vocal partner Kurupt. Since Death
Row Records owns Tha Dogg Pound moniker under which the two
released their first album, 1995's Dogg Food, the new Dillinger &
Young Gotti will pair the rappers under the name DPG. The album
will be released May 1 on Daz's DPG Records. The California resident
hopes to expand his independent company into a formidable industry
power. "We're going to work this independent like a major,"
"We're trying to show these big labels we can move something small and
make it big. We own this record, and this is what everybody's been

waiting for for like five, six years." Longtime friend Xzibit appears
on "Gangsta Like," while Daz and Kurupt rap about street life on "My Heart
Don't Pump No Fear" and females on "Gitta Strippin'." DPG will release a
video for the single "Coastin'." "Whatever came across when we put the
beat up is what we rapped about," said Daz, who also produced the
album. "The songs just came automatically. We've got 41 songs that
didn't get on the album. I just put the hard ones on there." Daz and
Kurupt's visibility received a boost recently via their appearance on
Jay-Z's "Change the Game" remix, featured on DJ Clue's The Professional
Part 2. DPG appears on Beanie Sigel's upcoming The Reason (June 12), and
Daz said he's flirting with the possibility of recording a solo album
for Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella label. All this exposure will come in handy as
DPG prepares its next round of material. "I'm independent, so I'm using
all of this to my advantage," said Daz, who decided to go indie following
his departure from Death Row two years ago.

Death Row will be releasing Snoop Dogg's Greatest Hits album on
Aug.14, 2001.

Bad Azz's album on Doggystyle will be released on July 31, 2001

Daz will be releasing a complation on May 1 called Who ride with us.
It will be released on DPG Records. He is also releasing another
album with JT the Bigga Figga on April 24, 2001 call Game For Sale, it
is the follow up to Longbeach 2 Filmoe which was released last year
on DPG Records. Daz will release another album with Kurupt later this
year. It will be released on Doggystyle and it will reunite the whole
DPG crew. So Daz has really been busy the last few months.

Tupac Lives Again At No. 1

Rapper Tupac Shakur has been dead since 1996, but that hasn't
stopped him from making a major impact on the Billboard charts.
"Until The End Of Time," a double-disc collection of archival
material on Amaru/Death Row/Interscope, rockets to No. 1 on The
Billboard 200, selling more than 426,800 copies in the U.S.,
according to SoundScan.

Previous posthumous releases have performed well commercially;
"Still I Rise," credited to 2Pac + the Outlawz, peaked at No. 6
in January 2000; while 1999's "Greatest Hits" topped out at No. 3.
A second double-disc collection of previously unreleased material is
due this summer.

April 2, 2001

These could be rumours I don't know but a couple of other 2pac sites also
reported. I've seen some of these rumors that have been floating around
and I dont know how they were leaked because some of them are true but
some of them are not, Since the Tracks are under tight security and will
not make it onto internet bootlegs I am at full legal discretion to reveal
some of the truth behind these harmless rumors and to get you Tupac fans
excited in anticipation for his future releases.

For Volume 2 of his next double album (TITLE is STILL IN DEBATE
and HAS NOT BEEN DECIDED YET)

the tentative tracklist is already been decided though 3 or maybe
even 4 of the songs WILL be changed.

CD1
1 GHETTO STAR feat (Bad Azz has settled with Afeni and we may allow his
verse to remain on the song, is still being talked about with Byron and
the head bosses at Amaru)
2 STARING THRU MY REARVIEW II (version will stay the same, minor tweaks)
3 FAIR XCHANGE (completely the same)
4 PLAY YOUR CARDS RIGHT feat.Outlawz, Thuglife (KC n JoJo remain in
chorus, may be first single)
5 SOON AS I GET HOME feat. kadafi (Being discussed, may or may not make
final cut, may be used for FALLEN SOLDIERZ album)
6 MAMA'S JUST A LITTLE GIRL
7 THEY DONT GIVE A FUCK BOUT US feat.Outlawz
8 THUGZ GET LONELY TOO (beat has been changed)
9 WHEN WE COME 4 U feat. E.D.I (remixed version of the popular bootleg
track called FRIGHT NIGHT)
10 FADE ME feat. Outlawz (D'angelo is added in chorus)
11 THIS LIFE I LEAD feat. Richie Rich & Too
Short
12 Neva Be Peace ft Marvelous, and SKG (beat remixed)

CD 2

1 GETTIN BLOWN feat. Outlawz
2 THE RULES OF THE GAME
3 21 GUN SALUTE feat. Outlawz,Billy Danze from M.O.P (originally featured
Freddie Foxx and Pudgy but had to be replaced cause their original verses
were recorded for Duckdown)
4 WALK OF GRACE
5 DIE 4 ME feat. Outlawz
6 JUST WATCHIN ft Snoop Dogg (Royalties are being discussed with Snoop,
Snoop has Remade his original verse already but if he is not allowed on
the song, BIG SYKE will Fill in the last verse)
7 WILD WAYZ OF A MAN
8 COMRADES ft Outlawz (Bone Thugs N Harmony have been taken out due to
legal problems)
9 VALLEY OF DEATH
10 CRUCIFIED
11 SO SO KRAZY ft LADY OF RAGE (Da Brat was replaced due to clearance problems)
12 FORTUNE & FAME feat. Outlawz
13 Thugz Get Lonely Too (remix featuring original beat and Verse from Tech-9)
14 Bonus* UNTOUCHABLE ft Crooked I (will also appear on Crooked I's debut album)

IF this does not get Tupac Fans excited There is still more rumors I need
to substantiate Madonna will appear on Volume 2 of the ROSE THAT GREW
FROM CONCRETE as well as JANET JACKSON, LEILA STEINBERG, MOPREME and ALSO
ONE OF THE POEMS were RECORDED BY TUPAC HIMSELF in 93. We hope people will
support The Rose that Grew From Concrete collection.

Also, Volume 2 of UNTIL THE END OF TIME will NOT be the Final Album from
Tupac, as we hope to complete work on hopefully 3 more albums

Fallen Soldierz (Exclusive tracks featuring just Tupac and Kadafi)

Also, I would like to explain the ONE NATION problems and why it was
not released in 1997 as intended, when Tupac died, the Court battles between
who owned Tupacs Royalty rights for his verses on most of his recording
delayed the DUCKDOWN release, DUCKDOWN could not restructure a contract to
include AMARU as well Deathrow, so the album was put on hold, Now that the
legal situation has been quelled, ONE NATION will start producion in Fall
of 2001 and hopes to be released for the new year, 2002.

IT will be a Two Volume set

Volume 1: One Nation (west coast disc)
Volume 2: One Nation (east coast disc)

This album will be the hardest to complete since Tupac collaborated with
more than 20 different artist for this album, many clearance issues will
have to be resolved but hopefully we will be able to keep the album as
Tupac had intended, but we can not make any guarantees.

If everything works, some artist that may appear on the album are
MC HAMMER Daz n Kurupt
KOKANE Ice Cube
E-40 Rappin 4 tay
RICHIE RICH Outlawz
C-BO Nate Dogg
Freddie Foxx Pudy tha Fatt Bastard
L.S Melle Mel
Scarface Bone Thugs n Harmony
Scorpio Method Man
Redman Buckshot
Greg Nice Snoop Dogg
Alannis Morisette Big Daddy Kane
Rakim Grand Puba
O.F.T.B.
and maybe more

some songs that may appear on the album
are
Return 2 NY
Lyrical Firepower
Break Bread
Thug Congregation
Record Warz

Also there has been much debate as to weather the track with Alanis
Morisette and another track featuring Madonna does exist, well they do,
They both will be released on a Soundtrack this Christmas, AfterLife ft
Alanis and Kadafi being a single and also AfterLife will appear on ONE NATION

For the 3rd album we have been discussin, will be a Goodbye album,
possibly a 3 disc album (The First for Rap Music), which will include
remaining tracks recorded from 1990 until 1996, a total effort giving
Tupac his proper farewell, no producion has started on this album and I
have not even heard any of the tracks that may appear on this record.

Also Death Row is not finished honoring Tupac either, they will release
a 2nd GREATEST HITS album, which will include best 18 songs from his
posthumous albums and 5 Rare songs from his deathrow days, Voletta Wallace
has also contacted them about releasing a never before hear Biggie and
Tupac song that may appear on the Greatest Hits volume 2, but ask DeathRow
to confirm that.

So for everyone Anticipating more Tupac albums, us here at AMARU records
and those at DeathRow are busy in the MEETING ROOMS and BUSY in the EDITING
and PRODUCION rooms trying our best to preserve Tupacs Legacy to his fans
liking but to our discretion, hope you will enjoy the many more Releases
soon to come.

March 30, 2001

The new 2pac cd came out on Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
It is a double cd. Most of the songs were already
available on the internet, but had different beats.
It is probably his third best cd behind all eyez on me and
makaveli. Number 12 on disc 1 is off track but overall
it is a good cd. There is a second 2pac cd which will be
released later this year.

March 8, 2001

It has come to my attention that a bootlegged version of
"Until The End of Time" was obtained 22 days prior to the
release date and is now available for downloading. Please
DO NOT download the songs as you are disrespecting 2pac's
legacy, and encouraging Bootlegging. The first single "Until
The end of time" was released for promotional purposes, but
the whole album wasn't. So i am asking the true hip hop & true
2pac fans to abstain from downloading the album online. I want
everyone to wait until the album is publicly released and buy
it in its true final product, otherwise everytime you download
an unreleased song you are disrespecting the 2pac legacy.

This is a possible tracklisting for the new album.
It will be released on March 27, 2001

Feb.28, 2001

With the upcoming release of 2pac's all new "Until The End
of Time" just around the corner. 2 vital reissues have been
ordered for 2pac albums for May 1st 2001, including the All
Eyez on Me. The other is Makaveli The 7 Day Theory, which
has been out of print for a couple of years now. This album is
arguably his best work ever, and will allow the album to reach
its full potential in sales. These reissues will undoubtably push
All Eyez on Me over the diamond mark (10 million) if it hasn't
already, and may even put Makaveli over 5 million units sold.
Its just requires the ordering of the ceritifications from the RIAA.

Death Row plans to re-release all their albums again expect for
2pac Greatest Hits on May 1, 2001. Some of the albums will be
enhanced and have videos on them. The albums will be distributed
by DNA Distribution.

Feb.20,2001

2pac will be releasing a double album on March 27,2001.
It will be called Until the End Of Time. The first single
will be untouchable which will feature Crooked I. You can
pre order your copy from CD Now.

Feb.6,2001

It's look like that the beef between Snoop and Daz
is over because Daz was present when Snoop was
shooting his second video from the Last Meal, for
the song Lay Low. Kurupt, Nate Dogg and Soopafly were
also there.

Top Dogg as left Death Row Records. No word why.
Daz is releasing a complantion album called
Who Ride With Us on May 1, 2001 on DPG Records.

New Snoop Album on Death Row Coming This Fall

Nearly three years after Snoop Dogg left Death Row Records,
the label is still acting like he's one of its top dogs.

Death Row says it will release a Snoop greatest-hits album
in September or October, featuring previously unreleased
material. An inflammatory ad for the album, which is slated
to run in three hip-hop magazines in March, is the latest in
a taunting, and at times threatening, campaign Death Row has
aimed at Snoop.

The album will be titled Snoop Doggy Dogg's Greatest Hits —
Death Row continues to refer to the rapper as Snoop Doggy
Dogg, even though he shortened his name to Snoop Dogg after
he left the label and signed to No Limit/Priority in 1998.

Death Row has a financial interest in Snoop's albums on
Priority as part of a 1998 agreement between the labels.
However, it was not clear whether the greatest-hits set
legally can include material from the Priority releases
without permission from that label.

Snoop's publicist said she was not aware of Death Row's plans
to release a Snoop greatest-hits album and had no comment.

Death Row had earlier announced a Snoop best-of package
would arrive in March 2000, but the album was never released.
Wolfson could not confirm whether the track listing announced
for that album stands for the upcoming project.

Death Row will take out full page ads in three hip-hop
magazines in March to promote the new album.

NWA Reunion Not Happening as Artists Line Up New Projects, including Detox!

It appears that the NWA Reunion ain't happening anytime soon.
Cube's got movies lined up, Snoop has his own albums and label,
and Dre is gonna be concentrating on Rakim, singer The Truth,
and his new album. Also Dre is expected to do a few songs off
Eve's upcoming album. The name of Dre's new album is tentatively
titled Detox. I think it's gonna be more of a concept album involving
more futuristic funk sounds. Dre says he is going to try to change
the game of rap yet again. Snoop Dogg is going to be promoting Tha
Last Meal (out December 19th) and will be running his label. Word
is that Daz and Kurupt have signed on to release an album and Lady
of Rage is considering an offer. Also, back to Tha Last Meal, I think
it is hands down Snoop's 2nd best album (next to Doggystyle). I've
heard a few people disappointed with it but that's really only because
some of the tracks that have been leaked did not make it to the final
album. The Swizz Beatz song is not on there, "No Backtrackin" with
George Clinton isn't on there, and there's no appearance from Warren G
or Xzibit. Snoop may be keeping them for a newer project, because a
song like "No Backtrackin" could had been not only on the album, but a
 single for it.

Jan.6, 2001

This page is back and running. Death Row released the Snoop Dogg album which contains 12 new tracks from the Death Row days. They also released a compilation cd called Too Gangsta For Radio, which contained 2 new 2pac songs. This was a follow up to the Too Gangsta for T.V video which they released a few months back. 2pac is featured on the new K-Ci & JoJo cd. It is the song Thug in Me but remixed. I believe it is a better version on the song. It has a more faster beat. The Outlawz released a new cd called Ride with us or colide with us, but the cd does not include 2pac. Snoop also released his new album called the Last Meal. It will be his last album for No Limit and Priority Records. Snoop's new label Dogghouse Records also released an album by a female group called Doggy's Angels. Snoop has been busy in the last few months. He made a movie with Pam Gier called Bones which will be released in Oct. 2001. He is also working on a new Eastsiderz cd and a N.W.A album with Dre, Cube and Ren. April 14, 2000 Outlawz are sueing Death Row Records for 4.5 million dollars. More info coming soon about this issue. Snoop Doggs last album on No Limit will be released on July 4, it is called the Last Meal. Snoops new label will release a movie called Eastsiders in June. April 13, 2000 This 2pac page is up and running. Lots of 2pac and Death Row news. First of all Suge Knight is still in prison and was not let out on parole. The Soopafly album on Death Row was not released. Death Row released a 2 home video which includes classic, unreleased, and rare videos. Some of them include Hit'em Up and Made Niggaz. It also includes live performances and interviews. The video disses Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Amaru and Death Row together released an album called Still I Rise which features the Outlawz. The album is currently 2 times platinum. Death Row will not be releasing Snoop Doggs Greatest Hits album. No word on why? Death Row's next project will a cd called Too Gangsta for Radio which is the soundtrack to the Death Row Uncut video. It will be released on May 9, 2000. Aug. 12, 1999 Almost of the whole Dogg Pound was on BET's Rapcity and they had alot to say. They were shooting Kurupt's new video "Streets is a Mutha", which is also the name of the cd and it will be released on Oct.5 on Antra Records. Daz will be the executive producer on the album. He will be the executive producer on all of the upcoming Kurupt's albums as well. Soopafly will also release his album "Like it or Not" in late September. He said it will be his first and last album on Death Row. He only let them release it because he wants to pay his dues to the label. Daz and Kurupt also talked about the new Dogg Pound album. It will be called "Kurupt and Daz, Daz and Kurupt". It will not be released on DPG Records but instead on a new label called Gang File Records will is headed by Daz and Kurupt together. Daz also spoke about a solo project that he will be releasing. It should be out later this year. It will be called "What Is It" and then he will follow up with another solo album which might be called "Strictly for my G's. And after that will be an album by the Gang. Dogg Pound will also get back with Dre for some projects. 2pac video "Changes" has been nominated for Best Rap Video and is contending with Jay Z and DMX as well. 2pac new album was totally false it will not be released and their as been know new date set for the album. The entire track listing was also false. The Underworld compilation seems to be to good to be true. The album will a diss album most likely on Bad Boy and No limit. The album will aslo diss DMX and Ja Rule because Death Row says they stole 2pac style. July 31, 1999 On the new RAP PAGES magazine, there's another article on Suge Knight and the Biggie Smalls investigation. This thing is kind of tring after hearing it for a couple on months now. Also DAZ still may be on Death Row Records because he won't sell major units without Death Row. Just look at his first Mobstyle Records release and if he did leave then he might have left with fellow DPG Records members Soopafly, Mac Shawn, Big Pimpin. On the new White Boys soundtrack there is a song called Hell Ya with features Daz, Krurupt, Soopafly and Tracy Dee. Also on Warren G's new album I want it all it will feature Snoop, Dre, Mack 10, The Twinz. A close source told me that on Jams 910 am, a southern New England radio station, was playing 2pac and the Outlawz track, Who do u Believe In. This is a very good sign because this shows the promotional discs have been distributed for the new album. Even more good news Billboard.com had reported a week or so that 2pac and The Outlawz would be releasing an album on Aug.17th. This title then was still to be announced, but now on the updated upcoming releases list, billboard.com has kept the same date of Aug.17 and titled the album Still I Rise. I don't know if this is false, but it is a good sign that the album might still drop on Aug.17. July 25, 1999 Looks like Daz is off the Row again due to constant delaying of his album and Soopafly's album and he is taking the whole DPG Records to Priority. Soopafly and Daz's albums should be out later this year. Crooked I has signed to Death Row which is good news for the Row. MTV has announced that a t.v. movie on 2pac's life will go into production later this year. It will be called Tupac: The Early Years. Dr.Dre has filed a lawsuit against Priority Records and Death RowRecords. Dre says Death Row used the name Chronic 2000 without hispermission. Dre says he holds the trademark from his first solo project. In the suit, Dre is seeking to restrict Priority from using the trademark as well as profits from the album. It seems that the August 17th release has been delayed due to financial disputes between Death Row and Interscope. I have heard, however, that there is a "Still I Rise" 2pac and Outlawz release scheduled for Aug. 24 on upcoming release sheets. This is most likely a single for the unreleased song Still I Rise. 2pac's song Who do you believe In is going to be an upcoming single for Chronic 2000. Death Row has produced a promotional CD for the song which should be send to radio stations and there should also be a music video for the song. No word on how the video will be done. The Makaveli album has now been certified 4X platinum as of June 15, 1999. July 11, 1999 The 2pac/Ourtlawz cd is set for release on August 17. It will not be a double cd as first though. It is called War Wounds. I should have a track listing very soon. So keep checking back. July 2, 1999 A date as been set for Aug. 17 for a new 2pac and Outlawz single. It was in the upcoming releases book from Tower Records. I don't know what single it is going to be but early rumours have it to be "Still I Rise" a song that is very much available on the internet, but we'll have to wait and see. June 17, 1999 Yesterday on BET they put the two-hour tribute birthday special to 2pac. They had many interviews with 2pac. They also had an interview with 2pac's mom and Suge Knight. They played lots of videos, but many of them were 2pac older ones. They played Keep ya Head up, Dear Mama, So many tears, Holler if u hear me, I get around, Smile, Changes, I wonder if heavens got a ghetto and Brenda's got a baby. They also played a live version of Dear Mama. In all it was a good tribute. June 16, 1999 Today is 2pac's birthday. He would of been 28 today. To celebrate 2pac's birthday, today RAPCITY will host a two-hour tribute to 2pac. The show which will air at 4:30 EST, so make sure you check that out! June 7, 1999 In the July issue of the Source magazine there is a ad for a new CD called Face Off 2 it is a double CD. It contains 24 unreleased songs and one of them is by 2pac which features Spice 1. Other artists on the album include Biggie, Too Short, Junior Mafia, Juvenile and many more. June 1, 1999 Hammer has reverted to his old name of MC Hammer and will be releasing a new album entitled "War Chest", which will feature unreleased tracks he cut with Tupac Shakur. He will also include a remake of Tupac's "Unconditional Love". MC Hammer's 1990 "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em" album is still the all time best selling rap album. "War Chest" is due out early summer. MAY 26, 1999 In Entertainment Weekly, 2Pac was number 51 for his death in the Biggest Events of Rock and Roll. They also said his video for California Love was on of the biggest videos of all time for MTV and was the first big budget video in the rap and R and B category. It led the way into today's videos. MARCH 6, 1999 Tha Realest sounds the same as 2Pac. There is a rumor going around that Tha Realest was actually handpicked by 2Pac for Makaveli Records but I am not sure how legitimate that is. Tha Realest does have a tight song on Chronic 2000 which is called Stand Strong and is a 2Pac tribute. MARCH 4, 1999 Chronic 2000 did come out today in the US. It will be released on the 25th for anyone in Canada. The cd features two new 2pac songs they are called Late Nite and Who do you believe in both of the songs feature the Outlawz. The Dear Mama CD single has been re-released in Holland. The single has the exact same tracklist as the original single released with Me Against the World (Radio, Moe Z Mix, Bury Me a G, LP ver), however features new cd art and cover art. The I Aint Mad At Cha CD single may also be re-released soon. There is also a promo CD single for Life Goes On which features clean versions with new lyrics. The words such as niggaz, hos, etc. have all been cut out and replaced with words such as homie, women, etc. it is obvious that it was not recorded this way because you can hear the words cut in. They were probably just taken from other Pac songs. The beat on the promo single is slightly different and sounds better.
