There's a Message from Tarkan

It is known that Tarkan has been putting tedious work into his new album for years. Tarkan believes in his new album and thinks that it will open him the doors to the world. Recently, MyNet received a message from Tarkan explaining his feelings on the new album. Here is the message directly as we received it from Tarkan.

ABOUT THE ALBUM Tarkan started working on his forth album six months after releasing his album titled "Ölürüm Sana". The first studio sessions started in Boston in August 1999, with Ozan Çolakoglu, who had worked with Tarkan on his previous albums. Ozan and Tarkan have a warm friendship and get along well when they work together.
The efforts on the album continued in a professional studio in New York for 3 months. The musical direction has been decided on after working on the general concept and the sound of the album. A lot of musicians from countries such as the United States, India, Israel, and Egypt have contributed to the album. The live drum recordings have been made in the United States, 70% of the repertoire has been completed in New York. These recordings are the second demos. Then, they left the crowded and busy atmosphere of New York, and went to France for a calm and peaceful environment. The work continued in a high quality studio where acts like The Cure, Sade, Rammstein, AC/DC, Chris Rea, G. Moore, and Pink Floyd had worked. From time to time some Turkish musicians have come to join the team, and some close friend have visited this peaceful environment. For parts of the

The vocals have been made by Ozkan Ugur, Ozlem Tekin, Berna Keser, Cihan Okan and Deniz Seki. The instruments (like the guitar, flute, sitar, violins, accordion, bass; turkish instruments like the ud, baglama, ney, kanum) have been played by Erdem Sokmen, Cetin Akdeniz, Ercan Irmak, Ismail Soyberk, Fatih Doganer, Ferruh Yarkin Ramazan, and Erdinc Senaylar. The music and lyrics have mostly been written by Tarkan and Ozan Çolakoglu. There's also a song written by Aysel Gurel and Ozan Çolakoglu, plus some songs by other successful people. The album is produced by Tarkan and Ozan Çolakoglu, who is continuing his studies in the Film Music program at Berkley University in the States. This album has been prepared for Turkey and Turkish listeners, but, at the same time, it will be released in 45 countries. Tarkan is aiming to continue the success that he had earned with his last album. He wants to address more people with our mother tongue Turkish, which has gained worldwide interest, and our music.

Tarkan's trips between New York
and Boston continued during this period. Afterwards, he stayed in
Boston for a while and recorded the first demos of the album
