What's New?

Kuzu Kuzu is released!

This is what all the loyal fans had waited for a long, long time...Tarkan has just released his new single, Kuzu Kuzu (Gently as a Lamb). It was scheduled to be released on May 3, 2001. However, there was a problem with the mixing of the single. It was sent to the United States to be mixed by american DJ's. Since the DJ's don't understand turkish, they mixed everything wrong, so the lyrics didn't make sense! Everything had to be done again, so the release was rescheduled to be on May 17, 2001.

Kuzu kuzu is a turkish expression used to describe someone acting humble, softly, meekly, "as a lamb". Kuzu Kuzu was released in its original version and in dance and acustic ones. Here you can listen to the song in its acustic version (thanks a lot to my turkish friend Tolga from Istanbul for sharing it with us) and you can also read the lyrics and its translation.

Kuzu Kuzu

Bak! Kırıldı kolum kanadım
Olmadı, tutunamadım
Zor! Yokluğun çok zor
Alısamadım
Vur, vur bu akılsız başi
Duvarlara
Taşlara vur sevabına
Sonra affet, gel baş bağrına
Süzüldüm, eridim
Sensiz olamadım
Işte kuzu kuzu geldim
Dilediğince kapandım dizlerine
Bu kez gururumu ateşe verdim
Yaktım da geldim
Ister at, ister öp beni
Ama önce dinle bak gözlerime
Inan, bu defa
Anladım durumu (bil), tövbeler ettim
Ooofff ooofff
Acı biberler sür dilime dudaklarıma
Işte kuzu kuzu geldim
Dilediğince kapandım dizlerine
Bu kez gururumu ateşe verdim
Yaktım da geldim
Ister at, ister öp beni
Ama önce dinle bak gözlerime
Inan, bu defa
Anladım durumu, tövbeler ettim

Gently As A Lamb

Look, I am a broken man
Restless, with nothing to hold on to
Stop missing you? Are you kidding
I'am broken... I'm done

Hit, hit this foolish head, I mean it
Strike it against a wall of stone
I deserve this punishment
It will be heaven sent

If you hold me and call me once more your own
I come gently gently as a lamb
I come to you this time on my knees
I have set my pride on fire

You are all that I desire
punish me to your heart's content
For me it will be heaven sent
I come gently gently as a lamb
I yield gently gently as a lamb
