Interview - En Medio del Espectáculo   Thanks to Jallet (México) for sending us the transcript of the interview broadcasted on TV Azteca's "En medio del Espectáculo" on March 13, 2000. There Tarkan sang Simarik and was interviewed by Mónica Garza and Enrique Aguilera.   -[MG] Today we are very excited because we have a great international pop star, he is Tarkan. Welcome to México. -Thanks -[EA] This is a happy surprise for México, because you know, yours is a culture much different from ours. How do you feel in México and with all this success you've had in Latin America? -The truth is, I'm impressed, this is the first time I'm in this country, the people, the attention, everybody yelling my name; first I was shocked, then I realized we have many things in common, specially regarding the culture, you know, people is very friendly, very open. -[MG] Did you had expected to have all this success around the world and in Latin America, singing in turkish, a language very different to ours? -Well, I think this is my success, I've been working in my english album, but, the truth is I believe that keeping the turkish and all those oriental influences is my success; otherwise people would understand what I'm saying, but in turkish people only understand the rhythm, the kiss. -[EA] We were surprised a lot when we knew that you just finished your military service, you stayed a whole month in the army. Was it different? You obviously didn't expected all this success at this time of your life. -It's a long story, the military service is a problem, I couldn't return to my country in 2 years and then I got back, I was 28 days in the army.
