This year he made a lot more money from "Hazir Kart" and "Pepsi" commercials as well as concerts. So he wanted to by a villa at Bosphourus, Istanbul. It seems he would be neigbour to Sezen Aksu and Cem Boyner (a politician). However, he only had 2 million dollars for the house and only 55% of the villa he was planning to buy was 4.5 million dollars. Therefore, he changed his plans. Instead, he bought a house for his sister Gulay and his mother Nese Tevetoglu in Antalya. And Tarkan lives in a luxurious rented appartment in Gokkafes. It is US$8000 per month (13 million turkish lira). Now he's neighbour with Okan Bayulgen (a talk show host). The pic at right, it's the building in which Tarkan lives in Istanbul.

Last year, Tarkan didn't give much concerts, so he said he didn't make much money in 2001.
