PEACEMAKER SCOUT .22 MODEL-This model is similar to the Frontier Scout, with steel case-colored frame and is fitted with old style black plastic eagle grips. This pistol has a 6" barrel and is chambered for .22 MAG, (the .22 Long Rifle cylinder was non-existant in the trade). Most of these revolvers have a "G" suffix, in front of the serial number, however a few manufactured in 1974 had an "L" suffix, this is one of those, this one was in fact manufactured in 1974. Later (1982 through 1986)this revolver was offered with a cross-bolt safety and is refered to as the "GS" series, revolvers in this later series were offered with adjustable sights only. There were no Peacemakers offered in the "GS" series.
