OL CONGRESS TRADING POST
HOPKINS & ALLEN |
HISTORY
Hopkins and Allen were major arms manufacturers from 1868 through about 1915, based in Norwich, Connecticut. They mostly manufactured a large line of "Suicide Special" spur trigger revolvers as well as larger models, rifles, and shotguns. Their claim was "The largest manufacturers of high-grade, popular priced(CHEAP) firearms in the world." The vast majority of their production was made for others and didn't bear their name. They were the actual manufacturers of most of the Merwin Hulbert pistols. |
