Never was much money at the live oaks back in the early days. (not in the later days either for that matter) What extra money that came in usually went into the "house money " to be used for what was needed most. Grandpa had no money to buy Christmas presents for the kids so he made these little booklets for some of them. They came in a hand made envelop addressed to the child it was made for. The care he put into them showed his true love for the family. As you can see this one was made for Severn, my Daddy. I will be making some changes to this page later. Donald
