rainbow butt monkeys era

the band name, rainbow butt monkeys, was thought up by james black. he was trying to remember what to call an orangutang, but ended up saying something along the lines of the monkeys with the rainbow coloured butts. the majority of the songs were recorded with scott just screaming. the members of the band now readily admit that some of their quickly-written songs were out-of-tune. there was practically no revision involved with writing and recording the songs. the style of music that comprises this album is more funk than anything else. it sounds more happy-go-lucky than their albums as finger eleven. they weren't very known at the time. even some of the hardcore finger eleven fans today never heard of them as rbm before.
