"Endymion...You are my first love...my only love...Even if we're reborn in another life, we'll find each other...and then...we'll fall in love again..." Sailor Moon pierces her side with the sword as her friends look helplessly on. She believes that next time, they may find happiness. Sailor Venus cannot believe what is happening. They have been reborn, but now are just repeating their former lives. As the still bodies lay next to each other, the Silver Imperium Crystal reunites, rising above the tragic lovers and encasing them in a pillar of crystal, as the helpless scouts watch unbelievingly. Queen Metalia can feel the power of the Crystal and moves forward, swallowing the crystallized form around Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. Luna looks on, knowing she can do nothing, but thinking she has failed her only mistress, Princess Serenity. The building begins to shake and crack as Queen Metalia goes to the surface. The Sailor Scouts quickly follow. Upon reaching the surface, they notice the ground of the Arctic Circle covered with huge stones, like a graveyard. They see Metalia has grown to an enormous size, filled by the power of the Silver Imperium Crystal, and out to capture the entire planet. The scouts combine their powers in a "Sailor Planet Attack!" but it does nothing against Metalia, who just hungrily swallows the energy. Sailor Mercury notices that Luna has been hurt and the scouts go back home, to Artemis. They tell him about their encounter and he comforts the injured Luna. On the news, an announcement of "unexpected cold fronts" causing emergency conditions are reported. Mercury wonders if Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask are still alive, and Luna looks up, saying that Bunny is still alive, protected by the Silver Imperium Crystal. She gets up, telling everyone they need to get the Princess and Crystal back, but Artemis tells her to be careful. Her wounds from the earlier fight with Tuxedo Mask have reopened. However, Luna feels that what happened is her fault, she could not save Bunny. She tells Artemis to take her to the moon, "To Mare Serenitas, to the Prayer Room in the Moon Castle..." On the moon, Luna begs an audience with the Queen, wanting her to release the "Great Power of the Moon" and offering to pray in place of the Princess. Artemis looks down, noticing the Earth being covered with darkness. In Tokyo, evacuations are being held, but the people are far from orderly. The evil influence has penetrated, filling everyone with hatred, causing short tempers and destruction, as Metalia looms over. The Sailor Scouts look on as the huge Metalia is coming. They have to strike her down without harming the Princess or Prince. In order to attack Metalia and free their loved ones, Venus leads them to use their greatest power, their morphing pens. "To lay down these pens...is the same as laying down our lives..." Venus holds up the sword and all four scouts combine the morphing power of their guardian planets, unleashing a powerful attack. But, Metalia easily snaps through it, knocking all Sailor Scouts down. As they lay lifeless on the ground, pools of blood grow beneath them. Princess Serenity remembers back in the Silver Millennium, Sailor Venus catches her sneaking off to see Prince Endymion again. Although she is warned not to, the Princess does so many times, telling Venus she does not understand, never having fallen in love. Venus keeps catching the Princess sneaking off, and one time, Kunzite is with the Prince and catches Venus' eye. On the Earth with the Prince, Serenity feels safe. When she is held in his arms the warmth comforts her, but she notices a dark cloud. It grows over the Earth, the hate and war killing Prince Endymion and the Princess commits suicide. "A love between Earth and the Moon could never be..." But, in this lifetime, they were born on the same planet "...and we'll find happiness." Sailor Moon wakes up, covered with darkness, the only light from the glowing Silver Imperium Crystal. She looks down, and notices the body of Endymion. Disbelieving, she holds Darien's pocket-watch which had been at her chest. It had taken the sword which she had stabbed herself with. She does not want to come back to life alone, and her tear falls on the Crystal, blossoming it out into a beautiful flower. She hears the hatred of the people, wanting to kill each other, promoted by Metalia and her wish for a planet of death. She realizes they are within Metalia, surrounded, and must fight from there. Lifting the blossomed Crystal, Sailor Moon releases a great light, freeing them from Metalia. She takes Darien's hand which grows warmer. He opens his eyes, speaking "Sailor Moon?", but realizes he cannot see. Sailor Moon quickly whips around when she senses the presence of Metalia looming behind her. She unleashes a powerful blast with the blossomed Crystal, but it does nothing against the pure Evil. Sailor Moon does not know where her friends are, wondering if Metalia could have killed them, thinking she does not have the power to imprison the Evil One. Tuxedo Mask can feel her grief, moving a hand to his chest, realizing he carries four stones. He takes one out, and sees a ghost image of Kunzite. Kunzite comes forward to his master, and explains she is demon, using energy to expand her "body of darkness" and points out her only weak point, the mark on her forehead, the heart of Queen Metalia. With that, Kunzite fades away. Tuxedo Mask calls after him, and then he sees all four of his former warriors, who wish him happiness. The stones all shatter in his hand, and he realizes his warriors brought him back to life. Jumping up, Tuxedo Mask informing Sailor Moon about Metalia's weak point. He tells her to stop crying and believe in herself. "Gather all of your power. If that's not enough, I'll give you mine...I'll stay by your side..." Sailor Moon, backed by Tuxedo Mask, lift up the blossomed Silver Imperium Crystal, feeling it grow unbelievably strong. Metalia chuckles at the thought of a little girl controlling the power, but Sailor Moon is confident as she whips around the Moon Wand. Tuxedo Mask can begin to see the moon, brightly shining. Backed by the moon, Sailor Moon calls out to Metalia, "I, Sailor Moon, Princess Serenity...With the power of the Moon...WILL SEAL YOU AWAY!" |
