Bunny finds herself face to face with the mysterious girl who claims to share her name (and her hairstyle). She threatens Bunny point-black with a gun and strongly urges she give up the Silver Imperium Crystal. Bunny does not answer fast enough, apparently, and the strange girl fires, flooring her. Darien lifts the child-Bunny away and sees the gun was a fake-too late to stop the adolescent Bunny from drooling with shock. Darien sets child-Bunny down and she dashes off. The scene cuts to an ominous planet, drifting through space. A man named Prince Diamond shares a toast with a sinister-looking group of individuals. He is congratulating a minion named "Sapphire" on locating the Silver Imperium Crystal. He calls for the "Wiseman," and a cloaked figure materializes in a blast of smoke, who gazes into a crystal ball and admonishes Diamond to find the crystal, as he call it, "this stone of Illusions," before it brings destruction to Diamond and his servants. All the participants in this scene bear a black, cresent-moon shape on their foreheads, upside down from the Moon Kingdom marks. A dark woman with her hair styled to resemble cat's ears relates how she feels a fiery presence near the Crystal, and identifies herself as one of "the Four Sisters of Deception." As she leaves, she toasts the black moon Prince and reveals the leader of the Four Sisters, Crimson Rubeus. Back on earth, Bunny revives in a panic to find the child-Bunny gone. Her knowledge of the Imperium Silver Crystal makes Bunny nervous, and Darien is confused at how the girl seemed to know Bunny. In her confusion, Bunny labels the child her new enemy. After a search Darien and Bunny locate the child alone on a swingset in the park, crying softly for her mother. Darien offers to take her home, and as the child takes his hand, Darien sees a brief flash of what looks like a palace. Child-Bunny Hugs Darien close and states " You're warm, Like Papa." Darien seems convinced the child is benign, but Bunny still has her doubts. She questions child-Bunny about her origins, and the child clams up, refusing further probing. Luna then appears, and asks about the child. Child-Bunny seems scared of Luna, and clings to Darien. The four find themselves at Bunny's doorstep and Bunny's mom greets them, and inquires about the child, who identifies herself as "Bunny" and who Bunny's mom dubs "little Bunny." Little Bunny is carrying a ball that looks remarkably like Luna. The child announces she is "going to observe" Bunny for awhile and smacks the ball, sending out a smoke that leaves everyone but Luna in a trance, who knocks Bunny and Darien out of their own trances. When it passes, Bunny and Darien are the same, but Bunny's family openly accepts the child into their home. Later an enraged Bunny confronts the unwanted house guest and demands to know her name. Little Bunny gives her nickname, "Rini," but again answers all other questions about her origins only with silence. Bunny places the Silver Imperium Crystal, and in it's stagnant, crystalline form, into her brooch compact. Luna is curious about Rini and decides to keep an eye on her. It looks like Bunny has a "sister" for the time being. The next day Darien and Bunny take a walk over to the "Crown Fruits" shop, owned by Andrew's family. There Bunny meets up with a love-struck Lita and the other scouts. They discuss Rini and receive their new, more powerful morphing pens from Luna. Lita reveals her true motivations for appearing at the fruit shop, a 7th grader from Darien's high school, Asanuma. Asanuma looks up to Darien because of his academic success and his kindness. Raye excuses herself to return to her school and set up for her school festival. She is introduced to the Supernatural club after her arrival by the organization's President, Kate. Kate then introduces the Azabu Junior High Sci-Fi Club, of which Asansuma is a member. He sees Raye and briefly reflects on her beauty. Kate discusses UFO's with Raye and summarizes her report on human spontaneous combustion to satiate Raye's curiosity. One of the Supernatural Club's members bursts in with news about the Club "Black Moon," a new rival of Kate's club. The leader of the new club introduces herself as "Catzi". Soon afterward, the Supernatural club spot what they perceive as a UFO. That night, a small girl stares at a silhouetted group, lead by a figure with cat-like hair. The figure points a finger and the girl bursts into flame. At home Raye opens her eyes, stunned by what she has just dreamed. Back at Bunny's the next morning, the girls eat breakfast and Bunny gets ready to attend Raye's school festival. Luna volunteers to watch Rini, but the child disappears as Luna enjoys a bowl of milk. Bunny arrives at the festival to find a crowd of girls in tears over the bleak fortunes told by the Club Dark Moon. Raye goes to inform the schools administrators, a convent, about the malicious fortune telling, only to run headfirst into a sister with an inverted black moon on her forehead. Moments later there is a flash, and Raye discovers one of the sisters reduced to a charred corpse. Raye suspects a new enemy and morphs in Sailor Mars. She casts her Mandala, scattering the group of black-clad figures who appear before her. Catzi discards her disguise and exclaims she is the youngest of the Four Sisters of Deception. She blasts Mars with a fire burst, holding her in stasis. Bunny witnesses the attack and Morphs into Sailor Moon, and uses the "Moon Frisbee" attack. Catzi repels the attack and launches the frisbee back at Sailor Moon with terrible ease, but she is saved by Tuxedo Mask. Sailor Mercury also appears, blasting more of the Black Moon followers away with her "Shine Aqua Illusion" attack. Sailor Moon is enraged, and suddenly a scepter appears between her and Tuxedo Mask, formed by their combined power. Luna identifies it as the scepter of Queen Serenity. Sailor Moon grabs the scepter, which she calls her "Moon Rod," and decimates Catzi with a new attack, the "Moon Princess Halo." Crimson Rubeus appears and kidnaps Sailor Mars, still held captive by Catzi's flame. As he vanishes in a blast of light, Sailor Moon angrily screams the name of her lost companion; "Sailor Mars!!!" |
