| Sailor Moon Act 6: Tuxedo Mask By Naoko Tacheuchi |
|
Luna has just given Bunny a crescent-moon wand and told her that she is the leader of the Sailor Scouts. Bunny can't understand how she is the leader when the other scouts, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter seem to have more powers than her. Darien Shields wakes up in his apartment from a dream he has had often. A woman appears through a mist, whispering "Silver Imperium Crystal". Darien can see her long hair, but not her face, and wonders about her identity as he looks at his pocket-watch. It's 6:00 am. Bunny has left for school when Luna wakes up. She comes in the kitchen and looks at the newspaper, the main headline telling of Tuxedo Mask's search for the Silver Imperium Crystal. On her way to school, Bunny meets Amy and Lita. As they're walking, they run into Darien. He playfully asks Bunny "shouldn't you be in school?" She tells him to leave her alone and stalks away. Amy and Lita tease her, calling her a flirt. Suddenly, Amy remembers the paper from that morning and tells the others about Tuxedo Mask's search for the Crystal. News of the Silver Imperium Crystal has spread all over. Because of Tuxedo Mask's press release everyone is looking for and talking about the mysterious Crystal. Although his only intention was to find the Crystal he could not find on his own, the scouts feel their mission is threatened and that Tuxedo Mask is the enemy. Luna finds the worried group of scouts and tells them it is imparitive for them to find the Silver Imperium Crystal. The enemy cannot possess it because it contains the power to destroy an entire planet. It was their destiny to protect the princess and the Crystal. Later, Bunny plays the Sailor V game and notices the wand in the game is the same as her own crescent-moon wand. She thinks this and Sailor V fighting for justice may have a connection to the Sailor Scouts, even though Luna can feel nothing either way. The Dark Kingdom decided to take advantage of Tuxedo Mask publicizing the Silver Imperium Crystal to the world. However, when the humans are not able to locate the powerful jewel, the enemy instead drains the energy from the people in the entire town. Feeling something wrong, Darien looks out his apartment window to discover everyone on the streets falling over and laying on the ground. As Amy begins to feel her energy drained, she stumbles upon Luna who leads her into the video arcade. After giving a code at the Sailor V game, a control room opens. In the room are the computers that Luna uses for her research, which she explains to Amy, are connected to the moon's host computer. They notice that there is energy coming from the Tokyo Tower, where the enemy must be using it's communications systems. They try to contact the other scouts, but cannot due to the signal being jammed. Bunny walks down the street, feeling her energy being drained away. She realizes the enemy is behind this, but cannot help herself, and falls onto the ground. Darien finds Bunny, and gathers her into his arms. She feels her strength beginning to come back. When she opens her eyes, Tuxedo Mask is holding her. He explains that he needed help to find the Crystal, but not having powers like the scouts, did not know what else to do. He realizes the mistake he's made and tells Bunny that she must morph into Sailor Moon to save everybody. Bunny is shocked that he now knows her true identity, but has no time to hesitate and morphs. The other scouts have found Zoisite, but he fades away before they can get the energy back from him. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon is not sure how to help all the people with their energy drained. She takes out her crescent-moon wand and decides to use it as Sailor V had in the game. She clenches it and calls out "Please, bring everyoneÉback to life!!" The healing rays flash and all the town has their energy returned to them. As everybody starts waking, Sailor Moon collapses in Tuxedo Mask's arms, having spent all of her power. As he picks her up, his pocket watch falls unto her. She relaxes, thinking his touch is familiar, from long ago. The next morning she wakes up in a strange bed, remembering her dream of a man, whose face she couldn't see, calling out to her. She looks down and sees a pocket watch, thinking it might belong to Tuxedo Mask. She morphs back into Bunny, knowing that Tuxedo Mask is not the enemy, but still wonder who he is, and why he helps her. In walks Darien. |
