Rini daydreams about Helios, wondering where he has been, when Bunny enters the room, asking Rini if she wants snacks. Rini eventually follows her down; finding out she is going to visit Darien. When Rini declines to come along, Bunny and Diana are shocked. Rini continues to think of Helios, and decides she needs to talk to Lita.

In the Dead Moon Circus, Zirconia talks to her leader, the Queen Nephrenia through an intricate mirror. This evil ruler plans to possess the earth, the Silver Millenium Crystal, and rule the universe. She already has Elysion under her control, and holds a grudge against those of the White Moon Kingdom. She sends the Amazoness Quartet out with their gems to fill the world with Lemures.

In his apartment, Darien rests fitfully in bed. He coughs up more black blood, and his generals hover above him, unable to do anything. Bunny arrives with snacks and medicine, but Darien sends her away. He does not want Bunny to know what is wrong with him, burdening her with his problems.

The girls continue to visit the Dead Moon Circus, hoping to find out something about their enemy. They are viewed from above by the Amazoness Quartet, who knows them as the "Guardian Scouts of the Silver Millenium."

Rini finds Lita and tells her how she wants to talk to her about something. Lita agrees and they go to the grocery store to buy food for Lita to fix dinner. At the store, they meet a strange person in a black dress who ends up taking them to their own herb shop, with spices from the Amazon. The person is actually a member of the Dead Moon Circus who opened up a side business. Before leaving, Lita and Rini are each given a ring with an Amazon Gem.

As they cook, Lita looks at the ring and thinks about her own dreams, getting married, opening a flower shop. The two get distracted and Rini forgets to talk to Lita about Helios. She tells all about her trip and meal to Darien the next day, and he keeps her ring, since he is suspicious of it.

Lita goes back to the herb shop to talk to the owner. She says that the current path she is taking may be the wrong one, leading her away from her dreams. The ring glows and Lita seems hypnotized, as the storeowner reveals himself to be Hawk's Eye, who unleashes Lemures. The Amazoness Quartet ties her up with a "gem-knot."

Inside herself, Lita sees a miniature Sailor Jupiter. She tells Lita to remember her true mission as Jupiter, to protect those whom see loves. Lita thinks of Haruka and knows she must be strong. She hold a new Jupiter crystal, shaped like a heart and calls out "Jupiter Crystal Power Make-Up" to transform into Super Sailor Jupiter. She uses her new attack "Jupiter Oak Evolution" to kill Hawk's Eye as the Quartet runs away and Bunny and Rini come running up.

The bell rings in Rini's hand and they run to Darien's apartment. They find Pegasus trying to fend off Lemures hovering over the prince's body. Bunny and Rini transform and use "Moon Gorgeous Meditation" to kill the Lemures. However, Pegasus is injured and Darien continues to cough up black blood, much to Bunny's horror.
