On this page I will tell you a little about me and where I came to know
Indy by the way that's me down below. Good looking fellow ant I. Mom

.All This started with me in 1999 I had just graduated from high school and started working where my dad did. I in supply and he as shop super. I than got this real smart idea that I wanted to join the NAVY "dad was a squid for four years" he was on one of the ships that came into PEARL HARBOR after the japs attacked. Me I was looking for some way to get out of West Virginia for a while and see the world so in November 1999 I signed up on 120 day delayed program with a guaranteed class A school in aviation electronics in Jacksonville Fl. after boot camp in February 1970. Things went as planed but a little harder than I had expected boot camp with the group of men I went in with was no fun and games really company 100 could not even keep up with their guns and flag(notice I said flag as in company only) in our six week of training they were ready to start us all over again than they must have figured it better to let us out of there and in someone else's hair. Left boot camp came home for 15 days then flew to Jacksonville for avionics training. There was a problem there I 19 and the beach was just around the corner and the girls well I was in major trouble. I went through 18 weeks of a 26 week class and dropped a test well the gunny sergeant that took care of that gave me another chance at taking the test again and he put it in a way I really didn't like so I dropped it again this time on purpose and he tried to give me another try but I "like a dummy" said I wanted to go to sea on a carrier. And he did it within the next week I was on a plane to McGuire Air Force In NJ for overseas to Rota Spain where I would catch up with the USS Independence CVA-62 for a six month deployment. There was only one problem with that they sent me out 15 days to early and I had no plane to catch and none for at least 3 days but I had to pay for my room and board for those days. I made it understood I had no funds to do that all I had on me was $65.00 so I was told if I had enough to get a round trip ticket home I could do that and my plane would be ready when I returned so homeward bound was I. I came back to McGuire and flew to Rota, Spain but by that time INDY was in the med with no way to get to her they kept me there for two weeks tad they said. Then the USS Waccama AOE-109 Was Leaveing the med homeward bound when the Captain found out there were 250 men waiting to find there ships and he loaded all of us up and to the med we went where he off loaded us as we found our ships. When I finely checked on board I "according to them" was three weeks AOL and they were going to put me into the brig. Thank god they finely got things fixed and I was finely home for the next four years.
