Kalinga-Apayao: How to get there?

The easiest way to get to Kalinga-Apayao is to take the 9 hour Manila-Banaue daily trip by Dangwa Tranco. From Banaue, one can take a 2-hour jeepney ride to Bontoc. Tinglayan is a good starting point from which to visit Kalinga villages. Travel time on foot is 3 days including stopovers in the villages.
Tourists are further advised not to go beyond Bangad for safety precautions. It would be better for tourists to coordinate their visit thru the Cordillera House (across Mansion House) in Baguio City with telephone nos. 442-2150.
