Misamis Occidental: How to get there?

By air

PAL flies Cebu-Ozamis once a day Thurs-Sat (50 minutes). The airport is at Labo, six km from downtown. Aerolift also services Ozamis from Manila.

By sea

From Cebu, Gothong and William Lines both sail thrice weekly. From Manila, William Lines sails once a week while Sulpicio Lines makes a weekly return trip via Dumaguete, Dipolog, Cagayan de Oro, and Ozamis. William Lines makes a weekly return trip via Dumaguete, Tagbilaran, Ozamis and Cebu. There's also a daily boat between Iligan and Ozamis.

Ferries cross Panguil Bay to link Ozamis with Kolambugan and Tubod in Lanao del Norte. Each trip takes 30 minutes. Iligan-bound buses meet the ferry at Kolambugan. A ferry also links Ozamis with Baroy, near Tubod.

By land

Ozamis is on the route from Dipolog (four hours to Pagadian) and buses pass through regularly. The last bus to Dipolog leaves at 1400. An AMT bus leaves Zamboanga City at 0500, takes 10 hours with a stop in Cotabato City. Frequent buses link Ozamiz and Oroquieta, 43 km, one hour. To travel along the north coast of Mindanao, one must first take the ferry to Kolambugan, then change to an Iligan-or Cagayan de Oro-bound bus.
